The 2010 AFC Champions League Final was a football match which was played on Saturday, 13 November 2010. It was the 29th final of the AFC Champions League. The match was played at the National Stadium in Tokyo and was contested by Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma of South Korea and Zob Ahan from Iran. For Seongnam this was the fourth appearance in the final of the main AFC tournament, after two consecutive Asian Club Championship finals in 1996 and 1997 and AFC Champions League final in 2004, with one trophy been won in 1996. Zob Ahan was a debutant of the final stage.

Contents

The winners entered the quarterfinals of the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup.

The match was played on 1 June 2015 and was the final match of the competition. Zob Ahan won 3–1 and won their third title in the competition. They also qualified for the group stages of the 2016 AFC Champions League.

The 2016 Hazfi Cup Final was the 29th final since 1975. The match was an wonderful for both teams to get a chance to clinch a title after a good season. Zob Ahan was the defending champion in the competition, if they won it would their first time in the club history to win any competition back-to-back. Zob Ahan had the lead but Esteghlal equalized it at the second half. There was nothing to separate the two teams in the extra-time, Esteghlal lost to Zob Ahan in penalties. Zob Ahan qualified for the group stage of the 2017 AFC Champions League. Esteghlal also went to the play-offs for AFC Champions League because of their third position at the league.

The 2016–17 season was Zob Ahan Football Club's 16th season in the Iran Pro League, and their 21st consecutive season in the top division of Iranian football. They also competed in the Hazfi Cup and AFC Champions League, and had their 46nd year in existence as a football club.
