Following are the results of the 2010 Finnish Athletics Championships. The games, known as Kalevan kisat in Finnish, were first held in Tampere in 1907. The 2010 events were held August 5 through 8th in Kajaani.

Athletics has been contested at every Summer Olympics since the birth of the modern Olympic movement at the 1896 Summer Olympics. The athletics program traces its earliest roots to events used in the ancient Greek Olympics. The modern program includes track and field events, road running events, and race walking events. Cross country running was also on the program in earlier editions but it was dropped after the 1924 Summer Olympics.

1938 European Athletics Championships International athletics championship event

The 2nd European Athletics Championships was a continental athletics competition for European athletes which was held in two places in 1938. The men's event took place in Paris, France between 3–5 September while the women's events were in Vienna, Austria on 17 and 18 September. A total of 32 events were contested at the two competitions, comprising 23 events for men and 9 for women. This was the first time that events for women were held and the only occasion on which the competition was held in two separate locations.

Tero Pitkämäki Finnish javelin thrower

Tero Kristian Pitkämäki is a retired Finnish track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He is a World Champion, having won gold in 2007. His personal best throw of 91.53 m, set in 2005, ranks him eleventh on the overall list.

The 1st European Athletics U23 Championships were held in Turku, Finland on 10–13 July 1997. The competition succeeded the European Athletics U23 Cup, which had been held in 1992 and 1994.

The 2003 European Athletics Junior Championships was held in Tampere, Finland from 23 to 27 July 2003. A total of 44 events were contested; 22 by men and 22 by women. Germany had the biggest medal haul with nine golds and a total of 26, closely followed by Russia. Great Britain was third with 17 medals, while Romania was fourth with ten medals. Four championship records were set at the competition, although three were as a result of using lighter implements in the men's throwing events.

1981 European Athletics Indoor Championships International athletics championship event

The 1981 European Athletics Indoor Championships were held in Grenoble, a city in France, between 21–22 February 1981. It was the second time the championships were held in the city. The track used for the championships was 180 metres long.

The Finnish Athletics Championships, which are known as Kalevan kisat in Finnish, were first held in Tampere in 1907. Since then, they have been held in a different location every year. In the beginning, women were not allowed to compete in the Finnish Championships.

These are the official results of the Men's discus throw event at the 1994 European Championships in Helsinki, Finland, held at Helsinki Olympic Stadium on 12 and 14 August 1994. There were a total number of 21 participating athletes.

The 2012 European Athletics Championships were held in Helsinki, Finland between 27 June and 1 July 2012. This edition marks the beginning of a new two-year cycle of the European Athletics Championships which were previously held every four years.

The 2009 Finnish Athletics Championships were held in the Leppävaaran stadion in Espoo from July 31 to August 2, 2009. The event served as a qualification tournament for the 2009 World Championships staged from August 15 to August 23, 2009 in Berlin, Germany.

The Asian Race Walking Championships is an annual race walking competition for athletes representing countries from Asia, organized by the Asian Athletics Association (AAA). It was established in 2006 and has featured races for senior men and women (20 km). After the inaugural event 2006 in Wajima, Japan, the competition was split into two events: the 20 km were incorporated into the All-Japan Race Walking competitions held in mid March in Nomi, Japan. The 50 km event was held about a month later in mid April in Wajima, Japan. This is established until the year 2008. There are still annual national 50 km championships held in Wajima, but the further fate of the 50 km event within the Asian Race Walking Championships remains unknown.

2018 European Athletics Championships International athletics championship event

The 2018 European Athletics Championships were held in Berlin, Germany, from 6 to 12 August 2018. The championships were part of the first European Championships with other events happening in the United Kingdom.

2019 European Athletics U20 Championships International athletics championship event

The 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships were the 25th edition of the biennial European U20 athletics championships. They were held in Borås, Sweden from 18 July to 21 July. Beginning with this edition the long-distance races for men were 3000 and 5000 metres instead of 5000 and 10,000 metres mirroring the women's programme.

Finnish Indoor Athletics Championships

The Finnish Indoor Athletics Championships is an annual indoor track and field competition organised by the Finnish Amateur Athletic Association, which serves as the Finnish national championship for the sport. First held in 1962, the competition was open to non-Finnish athletes and several foreign athletes were crowned as Finnish champions. The championship titles were restricted to Finnish nationals from 1987 onwards, with foreign competitors reduced to guest status only.

2012 World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships International athletics championship event

2012 World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships is the fifth in a series of World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships. This fifth edition took place in Jyvaskyla, Finland, from 3 to 8 April 2012.
