The qualification event for the 2011 World Wheelchair Curling Championship took place from November 7 to 12, 2010 at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland. The event's two top finishers (China and Russia) both qualify to participate in the 2011 World Wheelchair Curling Championship.

Contents

The two qualification spots are determined as follows: At the conclusion of the round-robin, the top four teams advance to the playoffs. The playoffs follow the first and second rounds of the page playoff system. In the first round, the first seed plays the second and the third seed playing the fourth. In the final round, the loser of 1 v. 2 plays the winner of 3 vs. 4 in the Second Place Game, like in the semifinal of the page playoff system. However, unlike the page playoff system, the winner of 1 vs. 2. The winner of 1 vs. 2 qualifies to the worlds, while the winner of the second place game also qualifies to the worlds.

The playoffs, play-offs, postseason or finals of a sports league are a competition played after the regular season by the top competitors to determine the league champion or a similar accolade. Depending on the league, the playoffs may be either a single game, a series of games, or a tournament, and may use a single-elimination system or one of several other different playoff formats. The 2011 World Wheelchair Curling Championship was held in Prague, Czech Republic from February 22 - March 1, 2011. Ten mixed gender teams competed for four playoff spots. In the final, Canada's Jim Armstrong defeated Scotland's Aileen Neilson in the final in 7 ends. Teams also gained qualification points from this event for the 2014 Winter Paralympic Games in Sochi.

The qualification event for the 2009 World Wheelchair Curling Championship took place from November 15 to 20, 2008 in Prague, Czech Republic. The event's two top finishers, Germany and China, both qualified to participate in the 2009 World Wheelchair Curling Championship.

Curling at the 2014 Winter Olympics

The curling competition of the 2014 Winter Olympics was held at the Ice Cube Curling Center, nicknamed "the Ice Cube". It is the sixth time that curling was on the Olympic program. In both the men's and women's competitions, ten nations competed. These two events took place from 10 to 21 February 2014.

The qualification event of the 2013 World Wheelchair Curling Championship was held from November 3 to 8, 2012 at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland, which hosted the qualification tournaments for the past two World Wheelchair Curling Championships. The qualification event was open to any World Curling Federation affiliated national team not already qualified. The event's two top finishers, Norway and Finland, will join the top 8 finishers from the last World Wheelchair Curling Championship at this season's event in Sochi, Russia.

Gim Eun-ji also known as Gim Un-chi is a Korean curler from Gyeonggi-do. She currently skips the Gyeonggi Province curling team.

Sayaka Yoshimura is a Japanese curler from Sapporo, Hokkaido. She is the skip of the FORTIUS curling team, which won the Japan Curling Championships in both 2015 and 2021. At the international level, she has represented Japan twice at the World Women's Curling Championship and two Pacific-Asia Curling Championships in 2014 and 2021, winning the gold medal in 2021.

The 2017 NA LCS season was the fifth year of the North American League of Legends Championship Series, a professional esports league for the MOBA PC game League of Legends. It was divided into spring and summer splits, each consisting of a regular season and playoff stage, and also included a promotion tournament and a regional qualifiers for the World Championship.

Stefania Constantini is an Italian curler from Cortina d'Ampezzo. She currently skips the Italian National Women's Curling Team. She has played in two World Championships, three European Championships and the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics. She won a bronze medal at the 2017 European Curling Championships and a gold medal in mixed doubles at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.

Analena Jentsch is a German curler from Füssen. She currently plays lead on the German National Women's Curling Team skipped by her sister Daniela Jentsch.
