The 2013–14 Stanford Cardinal women's basketball team represented Stanford University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Cardinal, led by twenty-eighth year head coach Tara VanDerveer, played their home games at the Maples Pavilion and were a members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season with a 33–4 overall, 17–1 to win their twenty-fourth regular season Pac-12 title. They lost in the quarterfinals of the 2014 Pac-12 Conference women's basketball tournament to USC. They were invited to the 2014 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament which they defeated South Dakota in the first round, Florida State in the second round, Penn State in the sweet sixteen, North Carolina in the elite eight to make their twelfth Final Four appearance. In the final four the Cardinal were defeated by the 2014 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament champion, Connecticut.

The 2016 NCAA Division I men's soccer championship game was the final game of the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship, determining the national champion for the 2016 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The match was played on December 11, 2016, at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas, a soccer-specific stadium that is home to Major League Soccer club, Houston Dynamo. Stanford of the Pac-12 Conference won the match, and successfully defended their national championship. Stanford defeated Wake Forest of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The crowd of 6,315 saw the match decided on penalty kicks, where Stanford prevailed on a 5–4 scoreline, following a 0–0 draw in regulation and overtime. The title was Stanford's second ever title, in their fourth-ever appearance. It was Wake Forest's second appearance in the final.

The 2019 Washington Huskies men's soccer team represented the University of Washington during the 2019 NCAA Division I men's soccer season and the 2019 Pac-12 Conference men's soccer season. It was the program's 57th season fielding a men's varsity soccer team, and their 20th season in the Pac-12 Conference. The 2019 season was Jamie Clark's ninth year as head coach for the program. The regular season began on August 30 and concluded on November 16, with the Huskies winning the 2019 Pac-12 Championship. The conference title has been the third for Washington and its first since 2013. The team had entered the NCAA Tournament as the No. 6 seed and lost to the eventual national champions Georgetown in quarterfinals.
