The 2022 Women's World Team Squash Championships was the women's edition of the 2022 World Team Squash Championships, which serves as the world team championship for squash players. [1] The event, held at the Madinaty Sports Club in Cairo, took place from 10 to 16 December 2022. The tournament was organised by the World Squash Federation. The Egypt team won its fifth World Team Championships, beating the United States team in the final. [2]
Two teams made debuts at the championship, with Chinese Taipei and Ukraine appearing for the first time. [3]
After the tournament, Japan's Satomi Watanabe was named Tournament MVP after winning all of her matches, while South Africa were named Team of the Tournament.
17 teams competed in these world championships from all of the five confederations: Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania. [4]

The World Squash Federation (WSF) is the international federation for squash, an indoor racket sport which was formerly called "squash rackets". The WSF is recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the International Federation (IF) for squash, and is also a member of the Global Association of International Sports Federations and the Association of the IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF).
The WSF World Team Squash Championships are an international squash competition organised by the World Squash Federation (WSF) and played between teams representing different nations. Countries enter teams of three or four players to represent them in the championships. In each round of the competition, teams face each other in a best-of-three singles matches contest. The competition is held once every two years, with the venue changing each time. Normally the men's and women's events are held in different years in two locations.
Raneem Mohamed Yasser Saad El Din El Welily is a former professional squash player from Egypt. She has reached a career-high world ranking of No. 1 in September 2015. She is a three-time finalist at the World Open, in 2014, 2016, and 2019/2020. She became the World Champion in 2017, after defeating Nour El Sherbini in the finals.

Alison Waters is a former professional squash player from England.
Delia Arnold is a former professional squash player who represented Malaysia. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 12.
Nour El Sherbini is an Egyptian professional squash player. She is a six time World champion and became the youngest woman to win the Women's World Championship (2015). In 2016, she retained her title and in 2019 won her third World Championship equalling the feat of Michelle Martin and rising to equal fourth in the all-time list of world championships won. She is the current world champion after winning the 2021/2022 edition of the tournament.
Nour El Tayeb is a professional squash player who represents Egypt. She reached a career-high world ranking of three in March, 2018.
The World Junior Squash championships are the official junior tournament in the game of squash conducted by the World Squash Federation (WSF). Entry is open to individuals aged 19 and below. Since its inception the world juniors has been held biennially with the junior men held one year, junior women the following year. The men's team event was held unofficially from 1973 to 1979. The individuals event are held annually starting from 2009 while the team event remains biennial.
The Squash Rackets Federation of India or SRFI is the Indian governmental apex body for the game of squash. It conducts the National Squash Championship, and promotes the game through the state level squash bodies, and provides training facilities and selects the squad for the Indian team. It also chooses coaches for the national team. The rise of squash worldwide with many players in the top 100 worldwide and India's higher rankings worldwide are a testament to the hard work put in by the administrators and players over the last decade.

The event takes place in Cairo, Egypt from 13 to 22 May 2022. It will be the third time that Cairo host the PSA World Championships after 2014 and 2019–20 editions.
