He is a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing the Jaswantnagar seat in Etawah district, from 1996 till now. He is also the National General Secretary of Samajwadi Party and was appointed on 29 January 2023.

Surendra Singh Nagar is an Indian politician and Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha since July 2016. He was also a Member of Parliament in the 15th Lok Sabha from Gautam Buddha Nagar constituency of Uttar Pradesh as a Bahujan Samaj Party candidate. He was a member of Bahujan Samaj Party from May 2008 to 2014. He joined Samajwadi Party before the Lok Sabha elections in 2014. On 10 August 2019, he joined Bharatiya Janta Party.

Anju Bala is an Indian politician who has been a Member of Lok Sabha for the Misrikh constituency since the 2014 Indian general election. Bala entered active politics in 2010 and was elected the Block Pramukh (president) of Mallawan. Three years later, she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and was elected to the Lok Sabha the following year. She is a postgraduate in Hindi and Sanskrit. Her husband Krishna Kumar Singh is a former legislator in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. In February 2022 she was expelled from Bharatiya Janata Party.

The 2018 Uttarakhand Municipal general elections were held in the Indian state of Uttarakhand on 18 November 2018.

Ram Prasad Chaudhary is an Indian politician and a member of the 9th Lok Sabha, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. He represents the Kaptanganj constituency of Uttar Pradesh and is a member of the Samajwadi Party. He earlier also served as Minister of State in Mayawati cabinet (1997), Minister of Textile and silk industry in Kalyan Singh government (1997) and Minister of Food and Civil Supplies in Mayawati cabinet (2007–2012).

The 2019 Uttarakhand Panchayat general elections were held in the Indian state of Uttarakhand on in three phases on 5, 11, and 16 October 2019.

Veer Singh Patel is an Indian politician and former MLA representing the Chitrakoot constituency in Uttar Pradesh as a Samajwadi Party member from 2012 to 2017. He is the son of dacoit Dadua who was killed in 2007.

Dr. Masood Ahmad is an Indian politician and a member of 1993 Legislative Assembly of Tanda, Uttar Pradesh of India. He represented the Tanda, Ambedkar Nagar constituency of Uttar Pradesh and was a state President of Rashtriya Lok Dal of Uttar Pradesh since August 2016 to March 2022. He was former Education Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1993.

Anil Kumar Tripathi is an Indian politician and a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly representing the Menhdawal constituency in Sant Kabir Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

Ankur Raj Tiwari is an Indian politician and a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly representing Khalilabad in Sant Kabir Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

Mohammad Hassan Roomi is an Indian politician. He is serving as a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Kanpur Cantonment Assembly constituency representing the second largest party of Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party since 10 March 2022.

Harendra Singh Tewatia is an Indian politician and grandchild of Charan Singh, Prime Minister of India who is serving as a Member of 18th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Garhmukteshwar Assembly constituency. In 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, he got 104,113 votes.

2023 Uttarakhand municipal general elections are expected to be held in late 2023 to elect members of all 102 municipalities in the state. There are 9 Municipal Corporations, 43 Municipal Councils and 50 Nagar Panchayats in the state of Uttarakhand.
