Elections to the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico were held on 2 June 2024 as part of the 2024 general election, with all 500 seats in the Chamber of Deputies up for election. The winners will be elected for three-year terms to serve in the 66th Congress (1 September 2024 to 31 August 2027). [1]
The 500 members of the Chamber of Deputies are elected in two ways: 300 are elected in single-member constituencies by plurality vote, and the remaining 200 are elected by proportional representation in five multi-member districts, with seats divided according to Hamilton's method. No party is permitted to hold more than 300 seats. [2] [3]

The Labor Party is a political party in Mexico. It was founded on 8 December 1990. The party is currently led by Alberto Anaya.
Miguel Ángel Yunes Linares is a Mexican politician. He has served three terms in the Chamber of Deputies and was the governor of Veracruz from 2016 to 2018. Most recently he served for the space of a few hours as an alternate senator for the state of Veracruz. He has been a member of both the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), from which he resigned, and the National Action Party (PAN), from which he was expelled.
The federal electoral districts of Mexico are the 300 constituencies or electoral districts into which the country is divided for the purpose of federal elections. Each district returns one federal deputy, who sits in the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of Congress. An additional 200 deputies are elected by proportional representation from the five electoral regions.
Héctor Melesio Cuén Ojeda was a Mexican chemist, pharmacist, biologist and politician. He was a rector of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa from 2005 to 2009 and municipal president of Culiacán, Sinaloa, between January 2011 and February 2012. In 2024 he was shot dead in his vehicle in Culiacán.
María de los Dolores Padierna Luna is a Mexican politician. A founding member of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), she left the party in September 2017. She later joined the National Regeneration Movement (Morena).

Sergio Carlos Gutiérrez Luna is a Mexican lawyer and politician serving as the President of the Chamber of Deputies, a position he reassumed following the death of Ifigenia Martínez y Hernández, after having previously held the role from 2021 to 2022.

Benito Aguas Atlahua was a Mexican politician from the Ecologist Green Party (PVEM). He was elected the municipal president of Zongolica, Veracruz, in 2021 and, in the 2024 general election, he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies for Veracruz's 18th electoral district. He was murdered in Zongolica on 9 December 2024.
