The 2024 NCAA Division I women's soccer season was the 43rd season of NCAA championship women's college soccer.

Contents

The season began on August 15, 2024, and culminated on December 9, 2024 with the 2024 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament, with the College Cup being held at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina. [1]

Florida State are the defending NCAA champions. Florida State was the first undefeated champion since Stanford in 2011. [2] Florida State was unable to defend their title, falling to Vanderbilt in penalties in the Second Round. Four teams from the ACC qualified for the college cup, and North Carolina prevailed, claiming their twenty-second college cup. [3]

The Grand Canyon Antelopes are the 21 athletic teams representing Grand Canyon University, located in Phoenix, Arizona. Most of the university's athletic teams compete at the NCAA Division I level in the Western Athletic Conference. Beach volleyball and men's volleyball compete in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), with men's volleyball having joined in the 2017–18 academic year and beach volleyball in 2024–25, the first season for MPSF beach volleyball. The 2020 NCAA Division I men's soccer season was the 62nd season of NCAA championship men's college soccer. The season was originally slated to begin on August 28, 2020, and conclude on November 15, 2020. The season was to culminate with the 2020 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament, which was to be held from November 18 to December 13, 2020, with the four-team College Cup at Meredith Field at Harder Stadium in Santa Barbara, California.

The 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer season was the 63rd season of NCAA championship men's college soccer. After the 2020 NCAA Division I men's soccer season was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 season partially returned to normal. However, despite the development of several vaccines, the pandemic was still ongoing, which might have led to various local or regional disruptions. Also, many conferences did not fully return to their pre-COVID state, with several having changed postseason tournament formats.

The regular season began on August 26 and ended on December 9. The postseason began on December 15, and, aside from any all-star games that are scheduled, ended on January 8, 2024, with the College Football Playoff National Championship at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

The 2023 NCAA Division I women's soccer season was the 42nd season of NCAA championship women's college soccer.
