The UCI Mountain Bike World Championships are the world championship events for mountain bike racing in the disciplines of cross country, downhill, and four-cross. They are organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the governing body of world cycling.

The 2016 UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships was the 27th edition of the UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships. Unlike in previous years, the world championships for the various disciplines were held at two different locations. The world championships in cross-country were held in Nové Město na Moravě, Czech Republic from 28 June to 3 July 2016. The downhill, four-cross, and trials events were held at Val di Sole, Italy from 29 August to 11 September 2016.

Alan Hatherly is a South African professional mountain bike racer. He won the bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics finishing with a time of 1:26:33, the first African and non-European to win a medal in the men's event.

The 2003 UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships were held in Lugano, Switzerland from 31 August to 7 September 2003. The disciplines included were cross-country, cross-country marathon, downhill, four-cross, and trials. The event was the 14th edition of the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships and the 18th edition of the UCI Trials World Championships.

The 2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup was a series of races in Olympic Cross-Country (XCO), Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE), and Downhill (DHI). Each discipline had an Elite Men and an Elite Women category. There were also men's and women's under-23 categories in the XCO and junior men's and women's categories in the DHI. The cross-country series had six rounds and the downhill series had seven rounds.

The 2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships was the 28th edition of the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships. As in 2016, the championships in the various disciplines were held at separate events. The world championships in four-cross were held at Val di Sole, Italy, on 24 and 25 August 2017, alongside UCI World Cup events in cross-country and downhill. The world championships in cross-country and downhill were held in Cairns, Australia, from 5 to 10 September 2017.

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz UCI Mountain Bike World Cup was a series of races in Olympic Cross-Country (XCO), Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE), and Downhill (DHI). Each discipline had an Elite Men and an Elite Women category. There were also under-23 categories in the XCO and junior categories in the DHI. The cross-country series and the downhill series each had seven rounds, some of which were held concurrently.

The 2018 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships was the 29th edition of the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships. It was held from 5 to 9 September 2018 in Lenzerheide, Switzerland. The four-cross competitions were held in Val di Sole, Italy from 5 to 6 July 2018

The 2020 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships was held in Leogang, Austria, from 5–11 October 2020. This was the 31st edition of the most prestigious mountain bike event on the calendar, held annually since 1990.

The 2021 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships were held from 25 to 29 August 2021 in Val di Sole, Italy.

Christopher Blevins is an American cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Mountain Bike Team Specialized Factory Racing. Specializing in cross-country mountain biking, Blevins has also previously competed in road cycling and cyclo-cross, before choosing to solely focus on mountain biking in preparation for the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Haley Batten is a Professional cross-country mountain biker and Olympic silver medalist. She has represented the United States at the elite level since 2021. Currently on the Specialized Factory Racing team, she rides the S-Works series of mountain bikes.

The 2022 UCI Mountain Bike season was the seventeenth season of the UCI Mountain Bike season. The 2022 season began on 15 January with the Momentum Medical Scheme Attakwas Extreme presented by Biogen in South Africa and ended in December 2022.

Martina Berta is an Italian cross-country mountain biker. She is the bronze medalist of 2024 World mountain bike championships in Cross-country Olympic.
