In the 2024 general election, the Conservative Party retained six of their Leicestershire seats (Harborough, Oadby and Wigston, Hinckley and Bosworth, Leicester East, Rutland and Stamford and Mid Leicestershire) and won the new Melton and Syston seat. The Labour Party retained Leicester West and won Loughborough and North West Leicestershire, though they lost Leicester South to independent Shockat Adam. [7] [8]
After the general election, councillor Amanda Hack of Braunstone became MP for North West Leicestershire. [9] [10] No by-election was held.
