North West Leicestershire is a local government district in Leicestershire, England. The council is based in Coalville, the area's largest town. The district also contains the towns of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Ashby Woulds and Ibstock, along with numerous villages and surrounding rural areas.
North West Leicestershire is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2010 by Andrew Bridgen, originally a Conservative who sat as an Independent following his suspension in January 2023 and subsequent expulsion, until he joined the Reclaim Party in May 2023.
Leicester City Council is a unitary authority responsible for local government in the city of Leicester, England. It was registered with the Electoral Commission in 2011, and officially launched in 2013 at a Leicestershire village hall by a ten-member steering committee which included former members of several political parties including the British National Party (BNP), Democratic Nationalists, Freedom Party and UK Independence Party (UKIP). It currently has three parish councillors, making it the largest far-right party in the UK in terms of electoral representation.
