Elections to Havant Borough Council took place on 6 May 2021 as part of the 2021 United Kingdom local elections. [1] They took place at the same time as the elections for Hampshire County Council and the Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner. [2]
In the previous election, the Conservative Party successfully held all 11 seats up for election, albeit with an overall slightly reduced vote percentage. The statement of persons nominated was published on Friday 9 April 2021. [3]

The English Democrats are a right-wing to far-right, English nationalist political party active in England. Being a minor party, it currently has no elected representatives at any level of UK government.
This article lists the British National Party's election results in the UK parliamentary, Scottish parliamentary and Welsh Assembly elections, as well as in the European Parliament elections and at a local level.
The 2014 Havant Borough Council election took place on 22 May 2014 to elect members of Havant Borough Council in Hampshire, England. One third of the council was up for election and the Conservative Party stayed in overall control of the council.
The 2015 Havant Borough Council election took place on 7 May 2015 to elect members of the Havant Borough Council in England. It was held on the same day as other local elections.
Elections of police and crime commissioners in England and Wales were held on 5 May 2016.
The 2016 Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council election took place on 5 May 2016 to elect members of Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council in England. This was on the same day as other local elections. One councillor was elected in each ward for a four-year term so the councillors elected in 2016 last stood for election in 2012. Each ward is represented by three councillors, the election of which is staggered, so only one third of the councillors was elected in this election. Before the election there was no overall control with a minority Labour administration. After the election there was still no overall control so the minority Labour administration continued.
The 2017 Hampshire County Council election took place on 4 May 2017 as part of the 2017 local elections in the United Kingdom. All councillors were elected from electoral divisions by first-past-the-post voting for a four-year term of office. The electoral divisions were somewhat changed from the previous election, with some being split, merged or with boundary changes. No elections were held in Portsmouth and Southampton, which are unitary authorities and hold their elections in other years. Similarly the districts within Hampshire did also not hold elections this year.
The 2017 election to Ceredigion County Council was held on 4 May 2017 when local elections took place across Wales. It was preceded by the 2012 election and followed by the 2022 election.
The 2018 Lambeth London Borough Council election took place on 3 May 2018 alongside other local elections in London, to elect members of Lambeth London Borough Council in England. The election saw Labour remain in control of Lambeth Council with a slightly reduced majority, winning over 90% of the seats. The Green Party achieved its best-ever result in the borough, winning five seats and becoming the official opposition and the largest Green group in London.

Each ward is represented by three councillors, the election of which is staggered, so only one third of the councillors were elected in this election. Before the election there was a Labour majority and afterwards Labour had increased their majority.
The 2018 Oldham Council election took place on 3 May 2018 to elect members of Oldham Council in England. The election took place on the same day as other local elections in England. The election saw the majority Labour Party increase its number of seats by two. The Conservative Party also gained two seats, while the Liberal Democrats lost one seat. UKIP ceased to have representation on the council following this election. The election left Labour with 47 seats, the Liberal Democrats 8 and the Conservatives 4 with the remaining seat being held by an Independent.
Elections to Colchester Borough Council were held on 6 May 2021. They were originally planned for 7 May 2020, but postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Seventeen members of the council were up for election, one from each of the 17 wards. There were also two additional by-elections in Prettygate and Lexden & Braiswick wards, bringing the total number of elected members to nineteen.
