The 2021 Essex County Council election took place on 6 May 2021 as part of the 2021 United Kingdom local elections. [1] All 75 councillors were elected from 70 electoral divisions, with each returning either one or two councillors by first-past-the-post voting for a four-year term of office.
The electoral divisions were the same as those used at the previous elections in 2005, 2009, 2013 and 2017.

Braintree District Council in Essex, England is elected every four years. Since the last comprehensive boundary changes in 2015, 49 councillors have been elected from 26 wards.
Elections to Suffolk County Council were held on 5 May 2005. The whole council was up for election with boundary changes since the last election in 2001 reducing the number of seats by 5. The Conservative Party gained control of the council from no overall control.
