The 2025 Surrey County Council election is due to take place on 1 May 2025 to elect members to Surrey County Council in Surrey, England. [1] All 81 seats will be elected, this will be on the same day as other local elections. All councillors will be elected for four-year terms using first-past-the-post voting.
The 2025 election will be held under new division boundaries following a review by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England. [2]
At the 2021 election, the Conservatives won a majority of seats but had lost three seats to by-elections, defections and suspensions, leaving them with a working majority of 7. [3]
