Abdul Rahman Anjan Umma (born 6 September 1955) is a Sri Lankan politician and teacher. In the 2004 election,she was elected from the Gampaha District to the Parliament of Sri Lanka as a United People's Freedom Alliance candidate. [1] In June 2008,she left the party she belonged to,the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna. [2] After a short period as an independent MP,she joined the National Freedom Front. On 31 October 2012 she became a member of the opposition United National Party (UNP).
Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga is a Sri Lankan politician who served as the fifth President of Sri Lanka,from 12 November 1994 to 19 November 2005. The country's only female president to date and The country's second female prime minister,she is the daughter of two former prime ministers and was the leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) until the end of 2005.

Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena is a Sri Lankan politician and landed proprietor. He is the Current Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament. He first entered parliament in 1983 as the Hakmana United National Party and has been active in politics for more than 30 years. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena was a young MP when he openly criticised the 1987's Indo-Lanka agreement for new provincial councils system to be established in Sri Lanka. He along with Chandrakumara Wijeya Gunawardena,the member for Kamburupitiya voted against the bill in Parliament becoming the only two government members who voted against it. He was later removed by Hon. President J. R. Jayewardene from his Parliamentary seat for violation the party rules by not voting the bill.
Weerakumara Dissanayake is a Sri Lankan politician and former member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. He is a member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and member of the United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA). He was deputy minister of Ministry of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development from 2010 to 2015. In 2017 he left the National Freedom Front (NFF) to join the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi is a Sri Lankan political party which represents the Sri Lankan Tamil ethnic minority in the country. It was originally founded in 1949 as a breakaway faction of the All Ceylon Tamil Congress (ACTC). In 1972,ITAK merged with the ACTC and Ceylon Workers' Congress (CWC) to form the Tamil United Front,which later changed its name to the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF).
