The ADESS-03 is a Le Mans Prototype LMP3 built to ACO Le Mans Prototype LMP3 regulations. It was designed and built by ADESS AG. The car had its competition debut at the 2015 4 Hours of Fuji. The car also serves as a base for the GreenGT LMPH2G and H24 Hydrogen powered Le Mans Prototype.
In 2013, the ACO announced a new category of Le Mans Prototypes, known as LMP3, which would replace the previous Le Mans Prototype Challenge (LMPC) class in 2015. [1] [2] Initially, the car was meant to be made by LAS Motorsport, a joint venture between Sebastien Loeb Racing, ADESS AG, as well as SORA Racing. [3] Under the initial agreement, Sebastien Loeb Racing would be in charge of development and assembly, while ADESS AG would be in charge of the design and homologation of the car, and SORA Racing handling production. [4] However, when the car was launched on 9 June 2015, it was known instead as the ADESS-03, with no branding on the car from Sebastien Loeb Racing, SORA Racing, or LAS Motorsport. [5] The car was had its first shakedown test performed at the Hockenheimring, on 16 September 2015 with customer AAI Motorsports. [6] The car has been known to have reliability issues stemming from its driveshaft angles, as well as issues with its gull-wing style doors. [7]
The ADESS-03 Served as a base for the GreenGT LMPH2G, which was developed by GreenGT which in 2013 attempted to field a Garage 56 effort at Le Mans with a hydrogen-powered prototype, then known as the GreenGT H2, but did not ultimately participate in the race. The car is powered by a 650bhp hydrogen fuel-cell power plant, with power output capable of being increased by up to 335bhp through an energy-retrieval system. [8]
During the weekend of the 2018 4 Hours of Spa Francorchamps, the car was demonstrated by former Le Mans winner Yannick Dalmas, while GreenGT also did demonstrations of refuelling in the pitlane. The car's hydrogen is contained in sealed tanks at 700-bar pressure. [9] It was later announced that the car would participate in the pre-race proceedings at the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the car set to run a demonstration lap of the full Circuit de la Sarthe. [10]
The ADESS-03 Evo also serves as the base for the GreenGT H24 car.
The car had its debut in the 2015 2 Hours of Fuji, the inaugural round of the 2015-2016 Asian Le Mans Series, where the 2 cars campaigned by Team AAI retired. For the 2nd round of the series at Sepang, the #89 car finished 2nd in the LMP3 class, before the #88 ended the season for team AAI with a pole at the 4th Round at Sepang, but failed to finish the race.
For the 2016-2017 Asian Le Mans Series, Team AAI scaled down its involvement in the LMP3 class, with the team only participating in the last round of the series at Sepang, with a single car entry. The #93 car retired from the race. [11]
Atlantic Racing Team ran one car in the end of season IMSA Michelin Encore. [12] The single car finished 15th of the 20 cars on the grid. [13]
The car returned to competition with R-Breizh Competition in the opening round of the 2021 Le Mans Cup at Barcelona. The car finished 26th overall. [14] It would race again that season with Revere Lifestyle at the 2021 Road to Le Mans however, they would retire from both races. [15] [16]
The European Le Mans Series is a European sports car racing endurance series inspired by the 24 Hours of Le Mans race and organized by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO). The European Le Mans Series is similar to the former American Le Mans Series (ALMS) based in the United States and Canada that was running with ACO and IMSA between 1999 and 2013. ELMS team champions and runners-up receive an automatic entry to the following year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. Originally titled the Le Mans Endurance Series before becoming simply the Le Mans Series in 2006, the series was renamed once more in 2012, reusing a name previously utilized by IMSA in 2001.

It began on 13 May at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza and finished on 21 October at the Algarve International Circuit. The Ligier JS P3 is an LMP3 Le Mans Prototype. It was created by Onroak Automotive, and named in partnership with former French driver Guy Ligier. It was built to meet ACO LMP3 standards, and is active in various LMP3 championships worldwide, such as the European Le Mans Series, IMSA Prototype Challenge, and the Asian Le Mans Series. The car has proven to be immensely popular in the category, with over 100 cars being produced since 2015. It has also proved to be one of the most successful prototypes in the class, with a total of 103 overall wins and class victories from 132 races entered by the car. It is set to be succeeded in 2020, by the Ligier JS P320, when new LMP3 regulations are set to come into place.
The Ginetta-Juno P3-15, also known as the Ginetta-Juno P3 is a Le Mans Prototype LMP3 built to ACO Le Mans Prototype LMP3 regulations. It was designed by Ewan Baldry, and built by Ginetta Cars. The car was the first car to launch, and run in the class, with it making its debut at the 2015 4 Hours of Silverstone. It subsequently formed the basis of the G57 P2, and the later G58. A direct successor to the P3-15, the G61-LT-P3, was developed to meet the new 2020 LMP3 regulations, while retaining the original tub utilised in the P3-15.
The Strakka-Dome S103 is a Le Mans Prototype LMP2, built to the ACO/FIA Le Mans Prototype LMP2 Regulations. The car was originally eligible for use in the FIA World Endurance Championship, European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series as well as the IMSA sanctioned WeatherTech Sportscar Championship. Following the 2017 rule changes for the class, the car is no longer eligible for use in the FIA World Endurance Championship, the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship and the European Le Mans Series. However, it is still eligible for use in the LMP2-Am Asian Le Mans Series.
The Ligier JS P320 is an LMP3 Le Mans Prototype. It was created by Onroak Automotive, and named in partnership with former French driver Guy Ligier. It was built to meet ACO Generation II LMP3 standards, and can be built through an update kit for its predecessor, the Ligier JS P3. The car is set to be eligible in a series of Championships worldwide, such as the Michelin Le Mans Cup, Prototype Cup Germany, Asian Le Mans Series, European Le Mans Series, IMSA Prototype Challenge and IMSA SportsCar Championship. The car was launched on 4 June 2019, and was the first Gen II LMP3 to be revealed.
The Ginetta G61-LT-P3 is a Le Mans Prototype LMP3 built to ACO Le Mans Prototype LMP3 regulations. It was designed, and built by Ginetta Cars. The car is the successor to the original Ginetta-Juno P3-15, which was the first LMP3 Prototype. The car can be built from its predecessor, and is set to be eligible in a series of Championships worldwide, such as the European Le Mans Series, and the IMSA Prototype Challenge. The car was launched on the weekend of the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans, being publicly unveiled alongside its competitors.
The Duqueine D-08 is a Le Mans Prototype LMP3 built to ACO 2020 2nd Generation Le Mans Prototype LMP3 regulations. It was designed, and built by Duqueine Engineering, which bought out Norma Auto Concept. The car is the successor to the Norma M30. The car can be built from its predecessor, and is set to be eligible in a series of Championships worldwide, such as the European Le Mans Series, and the IMSA Prototype Challenge. While the car was launched on the weekend of the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans, it was not physically seen until September 2019, with the car at Le Mans being a repainted M30.
The 2022 IMSA SportsCar Championship was the 52nd racing season sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA), which traces its lineage back to the 1971 IMSA GT Championship. This was also the ninth season of the IMSA SportsCar Championship since the merger between the American Le Mans Series and the Rolex Sports Car Series in 2014, and the seventh under the sponsorship of WeatherTech. The series began on January 27 for the 24 Hours of Daytona, and ended on October 1 with the Petit Le Mans after 12 races.
The 2022 Prototype Cup Germany was the first season of the series, with German automobile club ADAC securing exclusive rights in Germany for ACO-rules LMP3 class racing, and Creventic organizing and promoting the series. The races will be contested with Le Mans Prototype and Group CN cars.
The 2023 Asian Le Mans Series was the eleventh season of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest's Asian Le Mans Series. It is the fourth 24 Hours of Le Mans-based series created by the ACO, following the American Le Mans Series, the European Le Mans Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship. The four-event season began at the Dubai Autodrome in Dubai on 11 February 2023 and ended at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on 19 February 2023.
The 2023 IMSA SportsCar Championship was the 53rd racing season sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association, which traces its lineage back to the 1971 IMSA GT Championship. It was also the tenth season of the IMSA SportsCar Championship since the merger between the American Le Mans Series and the Rolex Sports Car Series in 2014, and the eighth under the sponsorship of WeatherTech. The 2023 season marked an overhaul season for the championship, with a change in class structure and a new race on the season calendar at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The championship began with the 24 Hours of Daytona on January 28 and concluded with the Petit Le Mans on October 14 after 11 races.
