The Actor Tour is the second tour by American musician and singer-songwriter St. Vincent. The tour centered on her second album, Actor (2009). The tour began in the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, United States, on February 27, 2009, and concluded at Teatro de la Ciudad in Mexico City, Mexico, on December 3, 2010. [1] [2]

Kasai Allstars are a 25-piece musical collective based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The musicians originally come from the Kasai region, but originating from five different ethnic groups: the Songye, Lulua, Tetela, Luba, and Luntu. Some of these groups have endured conflicting relationships over the centuries, and they each have their own culture, their own language, and their own musical traditions. Actor is the second album by musician St. Vincent, released by 4AD on May 4, 2009, in the United Kingdom and a day later in the United States. The artist was influenced by scores to films by Disney and Woody Allen. To prevent writer's block, she watched films without the sound and composed music for her favorite scenes. After arranging the music using GarageBand, she then wrote lyrics and added gentle vocal melodies.

Love This Giant is a studio album made in collaboration between musicians David Byrne and St. Vincent, released on 4AD and Todo Mundo on September 10, 2012, in the United Kingdom and the following day in the United States. Marking Byrne's ninth studio album overall and Clark's fourth, Byrne and Clark began working together in late 2009, using a writing and promotion process that Byrne had previously used on his 2008 collaboration with Brian Eno Everything That Happens Will Happen Today. The duo had previously played together live at an Actor Tour concert, and on the album Here Lies Love. The performers enlisted a variety of brass musicians to augment their songwriting and toured over the following year to promote the album.

The Love This Giant Tour was a joint tour by American musicians David Byrne and St. Vincent. It started on 15 September 2012 in Minneapolis, United States, and ended on 12 September 2013 in Florence, Italy, after 74 concerts on 14 countries and 3 continents. The tour was officially announced along with Love This Giant, the album it promoted, on 14 June 2012. On the stage, they were accompanied by a backing band consisting of eight brass players, a keyboardist and a drummer. The performers engaged in complex choreography onstage while performing.
