Alaric Pearson Rose was Dean of Hong Kong [1] from 1941 until 1952.

Rose was born 26 September 1909 in Lye and Stourbridge, England. [2] He was educated at St Edmund Hall, Oxford and ordained in 1933. [3] After a curacy in Gateshead he was Chaplain at St. John's Cathedral, Hong Kong until his appointment as Dean; [4] and Canon Residentiary afterwards.

Rose died in Harbourne, Birmingham, England on 27 December 1985. [5]

William Caine was the first head of the Hong Kong Police Force, Colonial Secretary of Hong Kong from 1846 to 1854. He attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel prior to his secretary appointment. Caine was also the acting Governor of Hong Kong between May and September 1859.
