Alex A. Dallman (born May 22,1992) is an American Republican politician. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly,representing the 41st Assembly district since 2021. His district comprises most of Green Lake and Marquette counties,as well as the southern half of Adams County. The district also includes the city of Ripon,in western Fond du Lac County,claimed as the birthplace of the Republican Party.
Born in Markesan,Wisconsin,Dallman is a graduate of Markesan High School. [1] He attended Edgewood College,in Madison,Wisconsin,and received his bachelor's degree in political science. [1]
Dallman began his career working constituent services in the office of Wisconsin congressman Glenn Grothman and still works as an outreach representative for the congressman. He has been chairman of the Green Lake County Republican Party since 2018. [1]
In February 2020,incumbent 41st district assemblymember Joan Ballweg announced she would forego reelection to the Assembly and would instead seek election to the Wisconsin State Senate in 2020. [2] Just days later,Dallman announced he would run for the Republican nomination to replace Ballweg in the Wisconsin State Assembly. [3] Dallman,who faced three opponents in the Republican primary, [4] received the endorsement of former Republican Governor Scott Walker in the days just before the primary. [5] He prevailed with nearly 50% of the primary vote. [6] He went on to defeat Democrat Nate Zimdars and independent Jean Bartz in the general election with 60% of the vote. [7] [8] [9]
Dallman resides in the city of Green Lake,Wisconsin. He is a member of the Green Lake County Farm Bureau and the Manchester Rod &Gun Club. [1]

Wisconsin's 6th congressional district is a congressional district of the United States House of Representatives in eastern Wisconsin. It is based in the rural, suburban and exurban communities between Madison, Milwaukee, and Green Bay. It also includes the village of River Hills in far northern Milwaukee County. The district is currently represented by Glenn Grothman (R-Glenbeaulah) who took office in January 2015.
Joan A. Ballweg is an American business owner and Republican politician from Green Lake County, Wisconsin. She is a member of the Wisconsin Senate, representing the 14th Senate district since 2021. She previously served eight terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly, from 2005 to 2021, and was mayor of Markesan, Wisconsin, from 1991 to 1997.

The district also contains the Dells of the Wisconsin River State Natural Area, Mirror Lake State Park, Dell Creek State Wildlife Area, the Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park, and the Noah's Ark Water Park. The seat is represented by Republican Alex Dallman since January 2021. After the 2024 redistricting, Dallman no longer resides in the new district.

This was the first and only election to take place after redistricting following the 2020 United States census, where the courts had put in place maps set out in the Johnson decision. Before the election, 61 Assembly seats were held by Republicans and 38 seats were held by Democrats. The primary election was held on August 9, 2022.

The featured race at the top of the ticket was for an open seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, which became the most expensive judicial election in history.
