Southern Finland was a province of Finland from 1997 to 2009. It bordered the provinces of Western Finland and Eastern Finland. It also bordered the Gulf of Finland and Russia.
Toijala is a former town and municipality of Finland, located some 40 kilometres south of Tampere. On 1 January 2007, it was consolidated with Viiala to form the town of Akaa.

Kymenlaakso is a region in Finland. It borders the regions of Uusimaa, Päijät-Häme, South Savo and South Karelia and Russia. Its name means literally The Valley of River Kymi. Kymijoki is one of the biggest rivers in Finland with a drainage basin with 11% of the area of Finland. The city of Kotka with 51,000 inhabitants is located at the delta of River Kymi and has the most important import harbour in Finland. Other cities are Kouvola further in the inland which has after a municipal merger 81,000 inhabitants and the old bastion town Hamina.
Muurla is a former municipality of Finland. It was consolidated with Salo on 1 January 2009.

Kontula is a quarter of Helsinki, Finland, part of the Mellunkylä neighbourhood. Kontula was built mostly in the 1960s and 1970s when more housing was required in Helsinki. Many people from the city centre moved to Kontula; due to its little higher than average concentration of government tenant housing complexes, immigrant and refugee population it is regarded as an average eastern Helsinki suburb.
Copterline Oy was Finland's largest helicopter airline established on 15 October 1990 as Copter Action and renamed to Copterline in 2000. In 2004 the company ferried over 75,000 passengers. On December 19, 2008, Copterline confirmed that it had ceased its scheduled service between Helsinki and Tallinn. On 15 February 2010, Copterline filed for bankruptcy, citing inability to keep the company profitable. Its head office was located on the grounds of Helsinki-Malmi Airport in Helsinki. In 2011, Line Support Oy, founded by mostly the same group as Copterline Oy, announced a resumption of service from September, operated by its Estonian subsidiary Copterline OÜ. On 9 September 2011, the first commercial flights were undertaken.
Pasila is a part of Helsinki, Finland, that is both a central-northern neighbourhood and district, bordering the areas of Alppila to the south, the Central Park (Keskuspuisto) to the west, and Vallila to the east.
Jernvallen is a multi-use stadium in Sandviken, Sweden. In the 1958 FIFA World Cup there were two matches played at Jernvallen. It has the distinction of being the northernmost stadium to host a World Cup match. It is currently used mostly for football matches. Although the record for the stadium is 20,000 people in 1958, today the stadium holds 7,000 people.
Beloostrov, from 1922 to World War II—Krasnoostrov, is a municipal settlement in Kurortny District of the federal city of St. Petersburg, Russia, located on the Sestra River, Karelian Isthmus. Population: 2,080 (2010 Census); 1,690 (2002 Census); 1,405 (1989 Census).
Marjaniemi is a seaside residential area in eastern Helsinki, Finland, with a population of approximately 2,000. Administratively it forms a quarter in the neighbourhood of Vartiokylä.
Malmi is a regional center and a major district on the north-eastern part of Helsinki, Finland. It has a population of 24,312 (2008). The Malmi District is divided into six subareas, two of which are the center forming Ylä-Malmi and Ala-Malmi, and the rest are Pihlajamäki, Tattariharju, Malmin lentokenttä and Pihlajisto. Malmin peruspiiri is a related but distinct subdivision of Helsinki which does not include Pihlajamäki and Pihlajisto, but instead includes Tapanila and Tapaninvainio. The population of this area is approximately 27,800.
The Lahden kisapuisto is a multi-use stadium in Lahti, Finland. It is used mostly for football and hosts the home matches of FC Lahti. The stadium holds 4,000 people and is all-seater. It also hosted some football matches during the 1952 Summer Olympics.
Pihlajisto (Finnish), Rönninge (Swedish) is a northern-central quarter in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. It is part of the Malmi neighbourhood.
Tapulikaupunki (Finnish), Stapelstaden (Swedish) is a northern neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland.
Moshchny is an island in the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea, located some 120 km west of Saint Petersburg. The island is a part of the Leningrad Oblast, Russia. The area of the island is approximately 13.9 km².

Battle of Lahti was a 1918 Finnish Civil War battle, fought from 19 April to 1 May between the German troops and Finnish Whites against the Finnish Reds in Lahti, Finland. Together with the Battle of Vyborg, from 24 to 29 April, it was the last major battle of the war.
The Maretarium is a public aquarium opened in Kotka, Finland in 2002, located on the shores of the Sapokanlahti bay. It has focused on the presentation of Finnish fish species and water bodies. There are about 60 native and permanent fish species from Finland. The Maretarium has a total of 22 themed aquariums, the largest of which is the Baltic Sea Pool. It has four windows, one of which is the high glass wall of the Meriteatteri maritime theater. The cylindrical basin holds about 500,000 liters of water. The Maretarium was created in co-operation between the City of Kotka, the University of Helsinki and the Game and Fisheries Research Institute. In addition to aquariums, there are also facilities for researchers and a nature school. The house also has the Meri Café Kristina coffeehouse and a souvenir store.
