Helsinki is the capital and most populous city in Finland. It is on the shore of the Gulf of Finland and is the seat of southern Finland's Uusimaa region. About 682,000 people live in the municipality, with 1.26 million in the capital region and 1.6 million in the metropolitan area. As the most populous urban area in Finland, it is the country's most significant centre for politics, education, finance, culture, and research. Helsinki is 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of Tallinn, Estonia, 360 kilometres (220 mi) north of Riga, Latvia, 400 kilometres (250 mi) east of Stockholm, Sweden, and 300 kilometres (190 mi) west of Saint Petersburg, Russia. Helsinki has significant historical connections with these four cities.
Vuosaari is a neighbourhood in the City of Helsinki, Finland. It is located by the sea in East Helsinki and with its area of 15.38 km2 (5.94 sq mi) is geographically the largest district in the city. It also has two Helsinki Metro stations, Rastila and Vuosaari
Lauttasaari is an island in Helsinki, Finland, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of the city centre. Together with some surrounding unpopulated small islands, Lauttasaari is also a district of Helsinki. With 23,226 residents as of 2017, the island is Finland's second largest by population, after Fasta Åland. Its land area is 3.85 km2.
Kallio is a district and a neighbourhood in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, located on the eastern side of the Helsinki peninsula about one kilometre north from the city centre. It is one of the most densely populated areas in Finland. Kallio is separated from the city centre by the Siltasaarensalmi strait, over which is a bridge called Pitkäsilta. Traditionally, the bridge symbolizes the divide between the affluent centre and the more working class areas around Kallio.

Itäkeskus is a quarter in the neighbourhood of Vartiokylä in Helsinki, Finland. The district's main attraction is the largest covered-in shopping mall in the Nordic countries, Itis, which make Itäkeskus as the most significant commercial center of East Helsinki. The district has a station on the Helsinki Metro, whose eastern entrance at the Tallinnanaukio square leads to the shopping centre. Itäkeskus has the eastern terminus of bus lines 500 and 550; the western terminus of line 500 is Munkkivuori and line 550 is Espoo's Westend bus station. Construction of the Jokeri light rail, which replaces bus line 550, began in 2019 and service began in 2023. The most important road connection to the Helsinki central from Itäkeskus runs along Itäväylä.
Mankkaa (Finnish) or Mankans (Swedish) is a suburb of Espoo, located between Tapiola and Kauniainen, with a population of 8,468 (2023), of which 555 speak Swedish as a first language (2023). Most of Mankkaa falls under the postal code 02180, with 02630 being the code of the areas situated near the Helsinki-Turku freeway in the north. The area under postal code 02180 has one of the highest wage incomes in whole of Finland.
Tikkurila station is located in Tikkurila, the administrative centre of Vantaa in the Helsinki metropolitan area. It is located approximately 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from Helsinki Central railway station and 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Helsinki Airport. The station is considered the main railway station of Vantaa, and almost all long-distance and commuter trains stop here.

Malmin peruspiiri is a related but distinct subdivision of Helsinki which does not include Pihlajamäki and Pihlajisto, but instead includes Tapanila and Tapaninvainio. The population of this area is approximately 27,800.
Jätkäsaari is a peninsula and a quarter in Helsinki, the capital city of Finland. It is part to the Kampinmalmi district and Länsisatama neighbourhood. It was the site of the main container port in Helsinki until late 2008, when the harbour moved to the new facilities in Vuosaari. The terminals for passenger ferries to Tallinn and Saint Petersburg remain in Jätkäsaari at the West Harbour.

Rastila is an eastern suburb in the Vuosaari district of Helsinki, Finland. Rastila lies to the north of the arterial road Vuotie ; to the south lies Meri-Rastila, which is often understood as part of Rastila. Rastila metro station opened in 1998. Rastila is mostly populated by families in detached houses, but around the station there are new blocks of flats for 2000 inhabitants.

Cafe Regatta is a café in Taka-Töölö, Helsinki, Finland. The café building is a small red log cabin that has been located in the same place on the Merikannontie street, on the shores of the Taivallahti bay, since 1887. There are several attractions nearby, such as the Sibelius Monument, the Töölö Rowing Stadium, and the old Villa Humlevik. The café was originally a fishing shed of Paulig's coffee business family in the late 19th century.
Kolmikulma, also known as the Diana Park, is a small, rectangular triangular-shaped park located in the Kaartinkaupunki district in the city center of Helsinki, Finland. It is limited by the Yrjönkatu, Uudenmaankatu and Erottajankatu streets. The park was renovated in 2006 and 2007.
