Ala-Malmi (Finnish), Nedre Malm (Swedish) is a northern-central neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland.
About five and half thousand people live in Ala-Malmi. In 2003, the area provided jobs for 4345 people. [1] The services of the area include Malmitalo cultural center and library, an indoor swimming pool, social services department office, several nurseries, schools and vocational schools, such as Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.
In the southern part of the area, near Ring I, is the Malmi cemetery which was founded in 1890.
Helsinki has a total area of 686 km2 (265 sq mi). 186 km2 (72 sq mi) of it is land and 500 km2 (190 sq mi) of the area is covered with water. It is located at 60°10′N24°56′E.
Hyvinkää is a city and municipality of Finland. It is located in the Uusimaa region, approximately 50 kilometres (30 mi) north of the capital Helsinki. The city was chartered in 1960. The population of Hyvinkää is 46,574. Helsinki-Malmi Airport is an airport in the city of Helsinki, Finland, located in the district of Malmi, 5.4 NM north north-east of the city centre. Until the opening of Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in 1952, it was the main airport of Helsinki and also Finland. Today, the airport is still actively used in general aviation and flight training. It still is the second-busiest airport in Finland after Helsinki Airport, as measured by the number of landings.
Ruoholahti is a quarter in Helsinki, part of the Länsisatama neighbourhood and Kampinmalmi district. The name means Grass Bay and is pronounced [ˈruoholɑhti]. Ruoholahti is located in the southwestern part of the central city area of Helsinki, close to the Lauttasaari island, and it functions as the principal connection between the Helsinki city centre and the city of Espoo to the west. As of 2005 Ruoholahti is inhabited by approx. 3300 people. The Länsisatama port is also situated in Ruoholahti.
Copterline Oy was Finland's largest helicopter airline. In 2004 the company ferried over 75,000 passengers. On December 19, 2008, Copterline confirmed that it had ceased its scheduled service between Helsinki and Tallinn. On 15 February 2010, Copterline filed for bankruptcy, citing inability to keep the company profitable. Its head office was located on the grounds of Helsinki-Malmi Airport in Helsinki. In 2011, Line Support Oy, founded by mostly the same group as Copterline Oy, announced a resumption of service from September, operated by its Estonian subsidiary Copterline OÜ. On 9 September 2011, the first commercial flights were undertaken.
Kulosaari is an island and an East Helsinki's suburb in Helsinki, Finland. It is also the 42nd neighbourhood of the city. Construction of villas on the island started in the beginning of the 20th century, and a bridge from Sörnäinen was opened in 1919. Kulosaari was an independent municipality since 1922 until 1946, when it was merged to Helsinki.
Itäkeskus is a quarter in the neighbourhood of Vartiokylä in Helsinki, Finland. The district's main attraction is the largest covered-in shopping mall in the Nordic countries, Itis, which make Itäkeskus as the most significant commercial center of East Helsinki. The district has a station on the Helsinki Metro. The most important road connection to the Helsinki central from Itäkeskus runs along Itäväylä.

Malmi station is a railway station in the Malmi district of Helsinki, Finland. It is located between the stations of Pukinmäki and Tapanila, along the main railroad track from Helsinki to Riihimäki, about 11 kilometres (7 mi) north from Helsinki Central.
Malmi is a regional center and a major district on the north-eastern part of Helsinki, Finland. It has a population of 24,312 (2008). The Malmi District is divided into six subareas, two of which are the center forming Ylä-Malmi and Ala-Malmi, and the rest are Pihlajamäki, Tattariharju, Malmin lentokenttä and Pihlajisto. Malmin peruspiiri is a related but distinct subdivision of Helsinki which does not include Pihlajamäki and Pihlajisto, but instead includes Tapanila and Tapaninvainio. The population of this area is approximately 27,800.

Pihlajamäki (Finnish), Rönnbacka (Swedish) is a northern-central quarter in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. It is part of the Malmi neighbourhood and the Latokartano district.
Pihlajisto (Finnish), Rönninge (Swedish) is a northern-central quarter in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. It is part of the Malmi neighbourhood.
Tattarisuo (Finnish), Tattarmossen (Swedish) is a northeastern neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland, east of the Helsinki-Malmi airport. It has a population of 70, and contains 1084 jobs. The neighbourhood consists mostly of small industry and warehouses. Many of the companies in the area deal with recycling metal.
Konala (Finnish), Kånala (Swedish) is a subdistrict of Helsinki, Finland. Konala has about 4500 inhabitants and about 3000 jobs. Konala is situated in north-western Helsinki, north of Ring I road and Pitäjänmäki, west of Malminkartano and Kannelmäki. It is bordered from the south by Ring I, east by green zone which separates at the industrial area along Vihdintie and the west at Espoo's border.
Östersundom is a subdistrict of Helsinki, Finland, near to the border of Sipoo. The area previously belonged to the municipality of Sipoo, but it was annexed to Helsinki on January 1, 2009 as part of the Southwest Sipoo Association, although the municipality of Sipoo opposed the idea.
