Autodelta is an after-market tuning company for Alfa Romeo cars, founded in 1987. Originally based in the Park Royal industrial area, northwest London, England, the company are now located in nearby Watford.
The company is not affiliated with Alfa Romeo's own racing department Autodelta established in 1963.
Founded by Jano Djelalian, the company specialises in produces tuning parts and full bodykits for various Alfa Romeo cars, alongside regular servicing, repair and engineering work. In addition, Autodelta produce pre-made fully tuned Alfa Romeo cars with modifications including suspension, engine upgrades, and forced induction tuning. Early examples of Autodelta's work included supercharging the Alfa Romeo 166, and an engine upgrade package for the SZ sportscar which included boring the engine out to 3.5 litres and adding a supercharger and two years later, the supercharged option for the SZ was enhanced even further by a higher performance unit being developed with Danish firm Rotrex. In 2004, the company gained notable coverage when their modified 147 GTA AM appeared on motoring program Top Gear, Series 2, Episode 8. The 147 set a 'Power Lap' time of 1 minute 30 seconds. [2] [3] The original 147 GTA completed a lap time of 1.35.6, placing the Autodelta modified version over 5 seconds faster. [4] For 2005, Autodelta released a 341 horsepower Alfa Romeo GT at MPH'05, which in 2007 was relaunched with a bored out 3.7 litre engine producing over 400 horsepower. [5] [6] [7] Model number 001 has hit the UK market for sale twice in 2017 and 2021. [8] [9] Also in 2007, Autodelta released their modified Alfa Romeo Spider titled the J6, and returned to upgrade the 147 GTA to 422hp. [10] [11]
By mid-2008, Autodelta officially released the 159 J4 2.2 C with a range of modifications including the addition of a supercharger, a new intake system, ignition system from NGK and a limited slip differential. [12] Autodelta created a one-off Type 916 Spider for a private customer in the UK called the Spider Superflow, featuring a unique body and an overhauled V6 engine producing 341hp. [13] In 2009, the company released their Brera S 3.2 Compressore at the MPH'09 motor show. [14] [15] [16] Following the release of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, Autodelta confirmed they were working on a modification package for the supercar to be launched in 2010. [17] [18]
The models Autodelta create are classed into various series, including the J-series (named after founder Djelalian), C series for supercharged models, Super series for modified JTS engined Alfa Romeos and Classic for models such as the SZ. [19]
Alongside their base in Watford, Autodelta offer their products through International partners in five locations; Italy, Greece, Australia, Malaysia and Russia.

The Alfa Romeo V6 engine is a 60° V6 engine made by Alfa Romeo from 1979 to 2005. It was developed in the early 1970s by Giuseppe Busso, and first used on the Alfa 6 with a displacement of 2.5 L (2,492 cc) and a SOHC 12-valve cylinder head. Later versions ranged from 1,996 to 3,179 cc and had DOHC 24-valve valvetrains. The original design had short pushrods for the exhaust valves in a design similar to earlier Lancia Fulvia engines. The first DOHC version was in the 1993 Alfa Romeo 164, with an aluminium alloy engine block and head with sodium filled exhaust valves.
The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is a sports car produced by Italian marque Alfa Romeo between 2007 and 2010. It was first presented as a concept car at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. The name refers to the eight-cylinder engine (8C) and Alfa Romeo's racing pedigree. The company received over 1,400 orders for the 8C after the official announcement that the car would enter production. However, only 500 customers ended up with the 8C Competizione and another 329 with the 8C Spider, bringing the production total to 829 cars.
The Alfa Romeo 6C name was used on road, race, and sports cars produced between 1927 and 1954 by Alfa Romeo; the "6C" name refers to the six cylinders of the car's straight-six engine. Bodies for these cars were made by coachbuilders such as James Young, Zagato, Touring Superleggera, Castagna, and Pinin Farina. Beginning in 1933 there was also a 6C version with an Alfa factory body, built in Portello. In the early 1920s Vittorio Jano received a commission to create a lightweight, high performance vehicle to replace the Giuseppe Merosi designed RL and RM models. The car was introduced in April 1925 at the Salone dell' Automobile di Milano as the 6C 1500. It was based on Alfa's P2 Grand Prix car, using a single overhead cam 1,487 cc in-line six-cylinder engine, producing 44 horsepower. In 1928 the 1500 Sport was presented, which was the first Alfa Romeo road car with double overhead camshafts.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia is a compact executive car produced by the Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo. Known internally as the Type 952, it was unveiled in June 2015, with market launch scheduled for February 2016, and it is the first saloon offered by Alfa Romeo after the production of the 159 ended in 2011. The Giulia is also the first mass-market Alfa Romeo vehicle in over two decades to use a longitudinal rear-wheel drive platform, since the 75 which was discontinued in 1992. The Giulia was second in 2017 European Car of the Year voting and was named Motor Trend Car of the Year for 2018. In 2018, Giulia was awarded the Compasso d'Oro industrial design award.
The Alfa Romeo Scarabeo II is a concept car engineered by Giuseppe Busso for Alfa Romeo. The car uses a modified Alfa Romeo GT Junior Z body and it shares internals with the Alfa Romeo Alfetta and Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce.
