Best-Of is a greatest hits album by Anggun. The album was released in December 2006 in Indonesia. It is composed of English-language recordings from her first, second and third studio efforts Snow on the Sahara (1997), Chrysalis (2000) and Luminescence (2005), along with the Open Hearts soundtrack (2002) and collaborations with other artists. The album also featured Indonesian-language re-recorded hits such as "Mimpi", "Bayang Bayang Ilusi" and "Takut".
On December 14, 2006, the Best-Of album was announced on the official Sony BMG Indonesia website to celebrate the first decade of Anggun's international career. It included details about several promotions taking place from December 18 to December 22, which involved a fan meeting. Anggun stated, "This album is an offering for fans who want to have the entire collection of my best songs on one CD." [1]
On December 20, Anggun received a Lifetime Achievement Award for "Best International Artist" at the 2006 Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI), recognizing her as the first Indonesian artist to achieve international success [2] [3] .
The Best-Of album was released in May 2007 in Malaysia and on June 8, 2007, in Italy. Additionally, in 2007, the Best-Of Karaoke video album was released in Indonesia and Malaysia [4] . Later, a deluxe edition featuring a bonus VCD and DVD was also released in Indonesia and Italy [5] .

Anggun Cipta Sasmi, known mononymously as Anggun, is an Indonesian-French singer, songwriter, and television personality. Born in Jakarta, she began performing at the age of seven and recorded a children's album two years later. She rose to fame in 1989 as a teenage rock star and by 1993 she had released five Indonesian-language studio albums. Rolling Stone listed her single "Mimpi" as one of the 150 Greatest Indonesian Songs of All Time.
Mimpi is a compilation album by Indonesian singer Anggun, featuring the two hit singles "Mimpi" and "Bayang Bayang Ilusi". The album was released in 1989 under label Atlantic Records Indonesia. In the early 2010s, she released the song "Jangan Biarkan", covering Indonesian singer Diana Nasution. The television channel RCTI hosted the "Jangan Biarkan Concert" with her album "Titi to Diana". In the 2020s, she released the song Show Off Your Colors, in collaboration with Eka Gustiwana, Sarah Fajira, and Ashanty. Her latest release was the song "To Lose" as an answer to a netizen challenge, and she also released a ballad version called "Still Learning".
Snow on the Sahara / Au nom de la lune is the sixth studio album and first international release by Indonesian singer Anggun. The French version was first released in France on 24 June 1997 by Columbia Records, while the English version was later released internationally by major label Sony Music Entertainment in 33 countries throughout Asia, Europe, and America between late 1997 to early 1999. Having various editions with different track listings and artwork, the album was also marketed as Anggun's self-titled album in several countries, such as Indonesia and Japan. The album was a huge artistic departure from Anggun's earlier rock style, experimenting with world music sounds.
