The Brent and Kilburn Times is a British weekly newspaper published by Archant in the London Borough of Brent, currently published on Thursdays. It provides local news in Kilburn, Wembley and other surrounding areas.
The paper dates back to the first issue of the Kilburn Times on 14 March 1868. It was founded by Rowland George Bassett (c. 1842-1906) and was based in Kilburn. Another paper, the Willesden Chronicle and Herald, was launched in 1877; a year later the two papers merged and the new office and printing works was based on High Road, Willesden. At the time, the Kilburn Times was heavily favoured by the working class and the Irish community, as opposed to its more middle class rival Harrow Observer . [1] [2]
A national press guide published in 1875 called the Kilburn Times one of the "largest, cheapest and most influential newspapers in the west and north west of London", and "it is undeniably the best advertising medium in the district." [3]
The Kilburn Times launched a new website in 2010. The other paper, later renamed the Willesden & Brent Chronicle and then the Willesden & Brent Times, ended publication in 2011 as it was amalgamated with the Kilburn Times to create the Brent & Kilburn Times. [4]

The Bishop of Willesden is an episcopal title used by a suffragan bishop of the Church of England Diocese of London, in the Province of Canterbury, England. The title takes its name after Willesden, an area of the London Borough of Brent; the See was erected under the Suffragans Nomination Act 1888 by Order in Council dated 8 August 1911.
Queen's Park is an area located partly in the City of Westminster and partly in the London Borough of Brent. Some of the area within Westminster forms a civil parish, the first to be created in London since the right of communities to establish civil parishes was enacted in 2007. The area is located 3.9 miles (6.3 km) north-west of Charing Cross, and centred around a 30 acres (12 ha) park, which opened in 1887 and was named in honour of Queen Victoria. It carries significant influence locally, due to its high news content, investigations and large circulation.
The College of North West London (CNWL) is a large further education college in north-west London, England. It was established in 1991 by the merger between Willesden Technical College and Kilburn Polytechnic in the London Borough of Brent. Today there are two campuses in the borough, in Willesden and Wembley Park, while a smaller training centre also exists in King's Cross in the borough of Camden. Over 11,000 students were enrolled at the college as of 2015.
The Harrow Observer was a paid-for local weekly tabloid newspaper covering stories from the London Borough of Harrow. It had separate editions for Pinner, Harrow, Stanmore and Wembley & Willesden. The former newspaper titles were retained by its owners, Reach plc, as branding for the Harrow, Pinner and Wembley sections of their getwestlondon news website, which is now MyLondon.
The 2010 Brent London Borough Council election took place on 6 May 2010 to elect members of Brent London Borough Council in London, England. The whole council was up for election and the Labour Party gained overall control of the council from no overall control.
The 2022 Brent London Borough Council election took place on 5 May 2022. All 57 members of Brent London Borough Council were to be elected. The elections took place alongside local elections in the other London boroughs and elections to local authorities across the United Kingdom.
