Phoenix Union Station is a former train station at 401 South 4th Avenue in downtown Phoenix, Arizona, United States. From 1971 to 1996 it was an Amtrak station. Until 1971, it was a railroad stop for the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific Railroads. Union Station was served by Amtrak's Los Angeles–New Orleans Sunset Limited and Los Angeles–Chicago Texas Eagle. The station is on the National Register of Historic Places.

PhoenixNew Times publishes daily online coverage of local news, restaurants, music, arts, cannabis, as well as longform narrative journalism. A weekly print issue circulates every Thursday. The company has been owned by Voice Media Group since January 2013, when a group of senior executives bought out the founding owners. Matt Hennie was named editor-in-chief of Phoenix New Times in 2022.

KBAQ is a public radio station in Phoenix, Arizona, United States, playing classical music. It is co-owned by the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) and Arizona State University (ASU). The studios are located at MCCCD's Rio Salado College in Tempe, alongside MCCCD-owned KJZZ, while the station broadcasts from a transmitter on South Mountain. In addition to its FM signal, it is broadcast as an audio subchannel (8.5) of ASU-owned KAET television across central, northern, and southwestern Arizona.

The Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) comprises two distinct Native American tribes—the Pima and the Maricopa —many of whom were originally part of the Halchidhoma (Xalchidom) tribe. The community was permanently created by an Executive Order of US President Rutherford B. Hayes on June 14th, 1879. The community area includes 53,600 acres (217 km2), of which 19,000 remain a natural preserve. As of 2022, the total population is 7,386. The community is a federally recognized tribe located in Arizona.
Ezequiel Cabeza De Baca was the first Hispano elected for office as lieutenant governor in New Mexico's first election. His term as lieutenant governor was followed by his election as the second elected governor of New Mexico. This term was brief as he died shortly after taking office. He was the state's first elected Hispanic governor, and the first governor born in New Mexico after its annexation by the United States.

Salt River High School (SRHS) was a high school on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community near Scottsdale, Arizona. It was operated by that tribe's Education Department along with an early education/Head Start facility, elementary school, alternative school and higher education department. The high school opened in August 2004 with an award-winning campus and grounds. Salt River High School was located on a federally recognized Native American reservation, which provided students and families opportunities to learn and partake in the rich histories and contemporary experiences of both the O'Odham (Pima) and Piipaash (Maricopa) people who reside within and/or are members of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Salt River High School was a member of the Canyon Athletic Association. This school closed its doors sometime in 2021.
William Gerard Montgomery is an American attorney who has served as a justice of the Arizona Supreme Court since September 2019. He previously served as the County Attorney for Maricopa County, Arizona from 2010 to 2019.
Ida Redbird was a Native American potter from the Gila River Indian Community of the Gila River Indian Reservation in Arizona. She was the first president of the Maricopa Pottery Maker's Association and was widely credited with the revival of ancient Maricopa pottery techniques and forms. Her polished black-on-redware pottery was highly prized with collectors. Texas photographer Ted Sayles shot a series documenting Redbird sculpting her pottery. The series toured museums throughout the Western United States
Dreamland Villa is a retirement community situated in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. It was one of the first retirement communities built in Arizona. Begun as a development in 1959 by Ross Farnsworth, within fifteen years it encompassed 3000 homes. It has an estimated elevation of 1,371 feet (418 m) above sea level.
Sacate is a populated place in the Middle Gila River Valley area, within Pinal County, Arizona, United States. Located 8 mi (13 km) north of Maricopa on the south side of the Gila River near Pima Butte, Sacate was an Pima village, a railroad station of the Southern Pacific Railroad, and a Catholic mission. It had originally been called Sacaton Station but the name was shortened to its current version in 1904.
