The Chenango River is a 90-mile-long (140 km) tributary of the Susquehanna River in central New York in the United States. It drains a dissected plateau area in upstate New York at the northern end of the Susquehanna watershed.

Kinderhook Creek is a 49.0-mile-long (78.9 km) tributary to Stockport Creek, an inlet of the Hudson River in the United States. From its source in Hancock, Massachusetts, the creek runs southwest through the Taconic Mountains into Rensselaer County, New York, and then into Columbia County. It flows through the towns of Stephentown, New Lebanon, Nassau, Chatham, Kinderhook and Stuyvesant to its mouth at Stockport Creek in the town of Stockport.

Joyce Burditt is an American writer and network executive known for creating the TV series Diagnosis: Murder, which ran for almost 200 episodes and TV movies. She has also been a longtime writer and producer on such TV series as Perry Mason, Matlock, and the Father Dowling Mysteries. She wrote a best selling novel, The Cracker Factory, in 1977, about an alcoholic housewife, which is partly drawn from her own experience in and out of institutions. It was made into an American TV movie of the same name. This was followed by the sequel, The Cracker Factory 2: Welcome to Women's Group, in 2010. She wrote the humorous novel Triplets, in 1982, and the mystery novel Buck Naked, about a Los Angeles detective heroine, in 1998.
