The Playmakers Theatre, originally Smith Hall, is a historic academic building on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Built in 1850, it was designated a National Historic Landmark for its architecture, as an important example of Greek Revival architecture by Alexander Jackson Davis. It is now a secondary venue of the performing company, which is principally located at the Paul Green Theatre.
Saint Mary's School is a private independent Episcopal college-preparatory, boarding and day school for girls in grades 9–12. Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, Saint Mary's School operates as an independent school with a historic association with the Episcopal Church including an Episcopal chapel, St. Mary's Chapel, on the school's grounds. The school formerly operated as Saint Mary's College and for many decades educated young women in grades 11–12 and their freshman and sophomore years in college. The school changed to a four year high school in 1998, at which point the name reverted to Saint Mary's School, the original name of the institution when it was founded in 1842.

Beaver Dam is an antebellum plantation house located on the northern edge of present-day Knightdale, Wake County, North Carolina. The house was built circa 1810 by Col. William Hinton, brother of Charles Lewis Hinton who built the nearby Midway Plantation. At its height, Beaver Dam plantation encompassed around 4,000 acres (1,600 ha) and was home to about 50 slaves.

The listing included 282 contributing buildings and four contributing structures. It includes work designed by architect Stuart Warren Cramer; it includes Bungalow/craftsman, Late Victorian, vernacular Victorian, reflecting turn-of-the-century mill-village architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Highland Park Mill No. 3. Other notable buildings include the Mecklenburg Mill, Johnston Mill (1913), Grinnell Manufacturing Company, Hand Pharmacy Building (1904), Lowder Building (1927), the former Highland Inn, Charlotte Fire Department Engine Company No. 9 (1937), and North Charlotte Primary School.
Halifax Historic District is a national historic district located at Halifax, Halifax County, North Carolina, US that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 with an increase in 2011. It includes several buildings that are individually listed on the National Register. Halifax was the site of the signing of the Halifax Resolves on April 12, 1776, a set of resolutions of the North Carolina Provincial Congress which led to the United States Declaration of Independence gaining the support of North Carolina's delegates to the Second Continental Congress in that year.
Carolina Supply Company is a historic commercial building located at Greenville, South Carolina. It was built in 1914, and is a four-story, brick building in a utilitarian Renaissance Revival style. The building housed a textile and industrial supply company that supplied mills with equipment and supplies. The building now houses Wells Fargo Bank.

Located in the district are the separately listed "Faculty Row" cottage: the Bassett House, Cranford-Wannamaker House, Crowell House, and Pegram House. Other notable buildings include the George W. Watts School (1917), Julian S. Carr Junior High School (1922), Durham High School (1923), Durham Alliance Church (1927), Trinity Presbyterian Church (1925), Great A & P Tea Company (1927-1929), Grace Lutheran Church, and the former Greek Orthodox Community Church.

Notable buildings include the Carolina Theatre (1935), Cash Supply Store Building, Spence Motor Company Building, and Ellis Carriage Factory (1908-1914).
Charlotte Supply Company Building was a historic warehouse building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1924–1925, and was a four-story, brick building measuring 40 feet wide and 127 feet deep. The building sat on a full basement and was designed by the architecture firm Lockwood, Greene and Company. It has been demolished
Textile Mill Supply Company Building is a historic factory building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was designed by Lockwood, Greene & Co. and built in 1922. It is a three-story, ten-bay wide by-five-bay deep, red brick structure with a full basement. It has large rectangular windows and pine post-and-beam interior framing. The building housed the Textile Mill Supply Company that sold and distributed supplies essential to the operations of textile mills in the Piedmont sections of the Carolinas.
Palmer Fire School, also known as Firemen's Hall, is a historic school complex for firefighters located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The complex consists of the 1940, one-story, rock-faced assembly hall and the 1938, six-story, red-brick training tower. The assembly hall is a Late Gothic Revival style building, five bays wide with a stuccoed, crenellated parapet and projecting end bays. Its construction was funded by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) and was the only drill school for firemen funded by the WPA.

Landscape architect Earle Sumner Draper’s planned the curvilinear village plan. Notable buildings include the Alexander Manufacturing Company mill complex, former Alexander School, and Alexander Baptist Church.
