The Speas Vinegar Company is a historic industrial facility at 2921 North Tryon Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. The facility consists of a two-story brick manufacturing and office building, to which is attached a single-story brick warehouse. The building's principal decorative embellishments are brick pilasters separating the window bays, topped by cast stone caps. Built in 1939, it is a good local example of early 20th-century fireproof industrial construction. It was built by the Speas Vinegar Company, founded in 1888, and was operated by that company and its successors, H. J. Heinz and Fleischmann's Vinegar Company, until 1994. [2]

The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. [1] Currently, the building is used by NoDa Brewing Company as a brewery and tasting room. [3]

Neuweiler Brewery, also known as Germania Brewery, is a historic brewery complex located at Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. The complex was built between 1911 and 1913, and consists of the office building, brew house, stock house, pump house, wash house, chemistry lab building, boiler room, bottling house, garage, fermenting cellar, and smokestack with the name "Neuweiler" on it. The office building is a two-story, brick and granite building. The remaining buildings in the complex are built of brick. The brew house stands six-stories, and has a copper hipped roof with cupola. The stock house is a long, narrow four-story building. The brewery closed in 1968.

The A. H. Buchan Company Building, also known as Supreme Lighting, is a historic tobacco processing facility located at Mullins, Marion County, South Carolina. It was built between 1924 and 1930, and is a two-story, brick building. It features a stepped parapet on the façade. The building was used for the purpose of buying, drying and exporting tobacco. The A. H. Buchan Company operated in this building until 1964.

Wafco Mills United States historic place

Wafco Mills is a historic roller mill complex located at Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina. The complex consists of a four-story frame building built in 1893 and expanded in 1941, with two four-story brick buildings built in 1907 and 1912. At the time of its listing the mill retained most of the original machinery. The mill closed as a business in 1972 and was converted to 28 residential condominiums in 1987. The mill is currently managed by the Historic Wafco Mills Condominium Association.

The high school building was built in 1910-1911, and enlarged and renovated in 1929-1930. It is a two-story, 12 classroom Colonial Revival style brick building. It has a projecting three-bay entrance pavilion. Two other buildings associated with the High Point Normal & Industrial Institute are on the property. The Institute was established by Quakers in 1891. They were built about 1910 and are a gable end frame structure sheathed in corrugated metal with a distinctive monitor roof and a brick building with a low pitched roof. The school closed in 1968.

It encompasses 40 contributing buildings in a mixed-use neighborhood of Statesville. The district includes notable examples of Late Victorian architecture including primarily brick educational and industrial buildings and one and two-story frame dwellings. They were mainly built between 1885 and 1930. Notable buildings include the former Statesville Male Academy (1874), Statesville Graded School (1892), J. C. The manufacturing building has a poured concrete slab foundation, brick veneered walls, a steel framing system consisting of I-beam piers and heavy Pratt truss roof, banks of continuous, steel sash windows, and large, sawtooth monitors. The complex was built for the largest manufacturer of automatic sprinklers and other fire protection products in North America.

It is a one-story building that consists of a small office section in the front and a large machine shop to the rear. The building has a brick veneer, steel sash windows, and restrained Classical Revival detailing ornamenting the facade and side. It has undergone a certified rehabilitation. It was built as the Charlotte facility of the Joseph Sykes Brothers Company, an international producer of card clothing, machinery used in cotton production.

Renfro Mill, also known as R. Roberts Leaf Tobacco House, is a historic industrial building located at Mount Airy, Surry County, North Carolina. The original section was built as a tobacco barn about 1893. The largest addition was built in 1946-1947. It is a one- to 4 1/2-story, brick, concrete, steel, wood, and granite industrial building encompassing 100,000 square feet of space. It was originally built to house a tobacco leaf house, and after 1921 the Renfro company, a sock manufacturer. The mill closed in 1997.

Carolina Power and Light Company Car Barn and Automobile Garage is a historic streetcar barn and automobile repair shop located at Raleigh, North Carolina. It built in 1925, and is a one-story, rectangular brick building in the Art Deco style. It measures 210 feet and 6 inches in length, and 59 feet and 7 inches in width and features terra cotta ornamentation. The building was built originally to house the Carolina Power and Light Company's electric streetcars and buses. It was converted to automotive and service vehicle storage in the 1940s.

Carolina Casket Company United States historic place

The Carolina Casket Company is a historic industrial property at 812 Millis Street in High Point, North Carolina. The main building on the property is a large three-story L-shaped building, framed in heavy timber and clad in brick. Its main wing is sixteen bays long, the bays separated by brick pilasters with corbelled caps. It was built in 1929 by the Carolina Casket Company, which began as the Rankin Coffin and Casket Company in the early 20th century. The company operated on the premises until about 1940, when it went bankrupt. The building was thereafter occupied for many years by the Carrick Turning Works, a maker of wooden furniture parts.

The Coleman-Franklin-Cannon Mill is a historic industrial complex at 625 Main Street SW in Concord, North Carolina. The recognized complex consists of ten buildings on 6.6 acres (2.7 ha), about 2 miles (3.2 km) west of downtown Concord. Another 4.4 acres are not included. The oldest portion of the mill, now its eastern section, is a brick two-story structure 14 bays long and 9 deep. The historic site also includes some worker housing.

H. D. Smith Company Building United States historic place

The H. D. Smith Company Building is a historic industrial building at 24 West Street in Plantsville, Connecticut. With a construction history dating to 1882, it is one of the more architecturally interesting examples of Southington's industrial architecture, and was home to H. D. Smith & Co. from construction to the 1920s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Nassau Brewing Company United States historic place

Nassau Brewing Company, also known as the Budweiser Brewing Company of Brooklyn and Bedford Brewery, is a historic brewery complex located in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. It consists of two remaining industrial buildings dating from the 1860s to the 1880s and are in the Rundbogenstil and Romanesque Revival style. The brick buildings are two to six stories and form an "L"-shape. The buildings feature substantial underground brick vaults originally constructed for the aging of lager beer at near-freezing temperatures. The brewery closed in 1916. The earlier sections are vacant and the 1880s elements were rehabilitated as apartments and offices in the 2000s.

American Brewing Company Plant United States historic place

The American Brewing Company Plant is a historic beer brewery complex at 431 Harris Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island, developed between 1892 and 1922. It is a well-preserved example of a state of the art late 19th century brewery building, its original functions still discernible in its layout. It was only used as a brewery until 1922, when it was shut down by Prohibition; it has served as a warehouse and storage facility for most of the time since. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.
