Mecklenburg Investment Company Building is a historic commercial building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1922, and is a three-story, three bay by six bay, red brick building. It measures 42 feet wide and 98 feet deep. The building is associated with the "New Negro" movement and is located in the historic African-American community of Brooklyn. [2]

Mecklenburg County Courthouse is a historic courthouse building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was designed by architect Louis H. Asbury and built between 1925 and 1928. It is four-story, rectangular, Neoclassical building sheathed in limestone. The structure is a three-part composition with a decastyle Corinthian order portico on the front facade. The rear elevation has a tetrastyle portico sheltering the three-center bays and Corinthian pilasters.

The church was built in 1858, and is a rectangular, gable-front Greek Revival style frame building. It is three bays wide and four bays deep on a low stone foundation and features extraordinarily tall window openings on all four sides. Adjacent to the church is the contributing church cemetery, with the oldest grave marker dated 1764. Providence Presbyterian Church, the oldest intact and only antebellum frame church in Mecklenburg County.
Ramah Presbyterian Church and Cemetery is a historic Presbyterian church and cemetery located near Huntersville, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The current church sanctuary was built in 1881, and is a rectangular, gable-front vernacular Greek Revival / Italianate style frame building. It is three bays wide and has segmental-arched, double-hung sash windows and a tall rectangular and segmental-arched louvered vent. Also on the property is a one-story, log Fellowship Building built in 1935. The cemetery contains approximately 500 burials, with the oldest dating to about 1800.

Potts Plantation is a historic plantation complex and national historic district located near Cornelius, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 11 contributing buildings, 12 contributing sites, and 4 contributing structures in rural Mecklenburg County. The plantation seat was built in 1811, and consists of a two-story, three bay, weatherboarded log house on a low brick foundation with flanking one-story wings added in 1947. The house has Federal, Late Victorian, and Colonial Revival style design elements. Associated with the plantation seat are the contributing smokehouse, dependency, poultry house, double-pen log barn work area, and corn crib. Other notable contributing resources are the Slave Cemetery, five tenant complexes, the Smith Cottage Complex, Smith Cottage, and Potts Cemetery (1946). The Potts Plantation has been the property of the Potts family since 1753.
Hayes-Byrum Store and House is a historic home, store, and national historic district located near Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The store was built about 1890, and is a one-story, gable front, brick building. It measures 35 feet by 60 feet and has a wide, arched entrance with wooden double doors. North of the store is the two story, asymmetrical, Queen Anne style frame dwelling built about 1900. It has a cross-gable roof and features a cutaway bay. The store is considered the oldest surviving commercial building in rural Mecklenburg County.

It has a slate triple-A roof and two exterior, stuccoed-brick chimneys. It features a vernacular Colonial Revival hip roofed wraparound front porch with Doric order columns. Other contributing resources include two chicken coops, a wellhouse, barn, two granaries, two silos, and the agricultural landscape.

The district encompassed two contributing buildings and one contributing site in rural Mecklenburg County. The farmhouse was built about 1870, and was a two-story, three-bay I-house with two one-story rear additions. It had a hipped roof and blend of vernacular Greek Revival / Italianate style design elements. The front facade featured a one-story, facade-width porch topped by a center-bay balcony. Other contributing resources were a machinery shed and the agricultural landscape. It has been demolished.

Former Charlotte Coca-Cola Bottling Company Plant is a historic Coca-Cola bottling factory building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1929–1930, and is a two-story, reinforced concrete building with a red brick veneer and decorative concrete detailing and Art Deco design elements. The building has a rectangular plan measuring 110 feet by 185 feet, parapet, and Coca-Cola bottles, sculpted of precast concrete, which crown the corner pilasters.

It is a three-story, ten-bay wide by-five-bay deep, red brick structure with a full basement. It has large rectangular windows and pine post-and-beam interior framing. The building housed the Textile Mill Supply Company that sold and distributed supplies essential to the operations of textile mills in the Piedmont sections of the Carolinas.
Savona Mill, also known as Savona Manufacturing Company, Alfred Cotton Mill, and Old Dominion Box Company, is a historic textile mill located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The building consists of four sections, three of which are historic. They are the 1915-1916 Weave Mill, a one-story rectangular brick building with segmental arched head windows, a low gable roof with exposed beam ends and a wood clerestory monitor roof; the 1921 Spinning Mill, a three-story rectangular brick building with large rectangular steel windows; and the 1951 three-story Paper Warehouse addition. The Weave Mill was designed by Lockwood, Greene & Co.; Richard C. Biberstein designed the Spinning Mill.
Palmer Fire School, also known as Firemen's Hall, is a historic school complex for firefighters located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The complex consists of the 1940, one-story, rock-faced assembly hall and the 1938, six-story, red-brick training tower. The assembly hall is a Late Gothic Revival style building, five bays wide with a stuccoed, crenellated parapet and projecting end bays. Its construction was funded by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) and was the only drill school for firemen funded by the WPA.
