Season chronology

The second series of China's Got Talent , also known as Head & Shoulders China's Got Talent for sponsor reasons, premiered on MediaCorp Channel U on November 1, 2011. [1]

Contents

Auditions

Auditions were held in Shanghai Concert Hall. During the third audition recorded on May 9, Judge Gao Xiaosong was detained by Beijing police on drunk driving charges and was sentenced to six months in jail. Taiwanese music composer Antonio Chen was announced as a replacement temporarily. Audition clips with either Gao or Chen were broadcast respectively. [2] [3] On November 22, Jerry Huang was announced to be a judge for the rest of this series. [4]

The show was pre-empted on November 29, 2011 due to the live telecast of the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

Semifinals

The semifinals began on January 3, 2012. The Great Hall of the People in Beijing was the venue for the semifinals. Yang Lan, a very popular Chinese host joins Zhou Libo and Annie Yi as judges.

Rules

A media jury are involved. Basketball star, Yao Ming was invited as a jury member in the first semifinals only. Yao's votes will be added to the media jury's votes for the overall votes. The most votes from the jury's votes will be automatically be in the finals. For second finalist, each of three judges has a chance of giving 10 votes to any one of the 7 remaining contestants. Contestant who gets the most votes advance to the final. For the third finalist, voting is based on best of three.

Finals (February 5, 2012)

World-renowned and Britain's Got Talent runner up, Susan Boyle perform two songs; "Who I Was Born To Be" and "I Dreamed a Dream" at Shanghai Stadium. [15] Also Britain's Got Talent finalist Razy Gogonea performed his Matrix routine. Popular Mandopop singer Han Geng also performed his song "In A Dream."

Rules

Before the final 6 acts performed one last time, the judges picked two more contestants from the semifinals to the finals for second chance. They were Pang Tak-Ming and Tang Kangmin. Each 8 acts will perform for the judges and the judges will decide who will make it to the next stage. It is based on best of three. The second stage is by text voting by the Chinese public and it will determine the final four. The third stage will determine who is the top 2 and this is picked by the judges. The last stage, 100 selected jury will determine who is the winner. The individual who reaches 51 points will declared winner. [16]

Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) is a Philippine reality talent competition show on ABS-CBN that began on February 20, 2010, replacing The Singing Bee & Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up and replaced by Twist and Shout on July 3, 2010. It is based on the Got Talent franchise, a British TV format conceived and owned by Simon Cowell's SYCO company. "Pilipinas" is the Filipino word for Philippines. Anyone can join and showcase their talents in the audition. At the sound of four buzzers from the judges, the auditionees are asked to stop their act. With at least three approval votes from the judges, they are automatically in the list for Judges Cuts, where judges have to pick only 36 acts that will move to the semi-finals. Acts will compete against each other in order to gain the audience support to win the prize money and the title of Pilipinas Got Talent.

China's Got Talent (Chinese: 中国达人秀; lit. 'China's Talent Show') was a Chinese reality television series on Dragon TV and a part of the Got Talent franchise, hosted by Cheng Lei. It is a talent show that features all different kinds of performances of all ages competing for performing contract with FremantleMedia and Sony Music Entertainment. The show is a joint production between FremantleMedia, Shanghai Media Group, Radio and TV Shanghai and Syco.

The first series of China's Got Talent, also known as Head & Shoulders China's Got Talent for sponsor reasons, premiered on DragonTV on July 25, 2010. The premiere ratings drew 400 million viewers. Dongfang Daily reported that with an 8 percent audience share in Shanghai while in 26 other provinces got a 1.37 percent share. The second episode increased 100 million viewers from the premiere which makes it 500 million viewers who watched. This makes China's Got Talent the most viewers in the Got Talent franchise history.

Românii au talent is a TV show which began airing on 18 February 2011. The project acts as a Romanian version of the franchise Got Talent, developed by Simco Limited. The show is hosted by Smiley and Pavel Bartoș, while the opening judge panel consisted of presenter Andi Moisescu, singer Andra and dancer Mihai Petre; following Petre's exclusion for the fifth season, TV presenter Mihaela Rădulescu and actor Florin Călinescu joined the panel. Ireland's Got Talent is the Irish version of the international Got Talent franchise. The series launched on 3 February 2018 on Virgin Media One and was hosted by Lucy Kennedy, accompanied by a sister show entitled Ireland's Got Mór Talent presented by Glenda Gilson and James Kavanagh.

The fifth season of Pilipinas Got Talent is a talent show on ABS-CBN. The show premiered on January 23, 2016, replacing the second season of Your Face Sounds Familiar after it ended on December 13, 2015, whose timeslot was temporarily occupied by the temporary weekend block Kapamilya Weekend Specials following the TV airing of Thank You for the Love: The 2015 ABS-CBN Christmas Special. Laura Bretan is a Romanian-American soprano. She was the winner of season six of the Pro TV series Romania's Got Talent, and later placed sixth in season eleven of America's Got Talent, both in 2016.

Sri Lanka's Got Talent is a Sri Lankan television talent show which started in 2017 and originated from the Got Talent franchise. It is a Stein Studios production and will be aired on Sirasa TV. Contestants of any age, who possess some sort of talent, can audition for the show, with their performance judged by a panel of judges; the current lineup consists of Jackson Anthony, Soundarie David Rodrigo and Tillakaratne Dilshan. Those that make it through the auditions compete against other acts in a series of quarterfinals, and then the semifinals. Israel participated in and won the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The Israeli broadcaster Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC/Kan) collaborated with the commercial broadcaster Keshet and Tedy Productions, which organised the reality singing competition HaKokhav HaBa L'Eurovizion to select the singer. The winner of the Israeli national selection was Netta Barzilai, and a committee of the Israeli broadcaster internally selected the song "Toy" for her.

Dominicana's Got Talent is a Dominican reality television series which airs on the Color Visión television network. The show is part of the global British Got Talent franchise. It is the first edition of the franchise to be based in a Caribbean country. Dominicana's Got Talent follows the Got Talent format, in which contestants audition in front of four judges and a studio audience. Up until the semifinal and final rounds, the judges decide whether or not a contestant advances in the competition. During the semifinal and final rounds, viewers vote on which contestants will advance.
