Clonoe (from Irish : Cluain Eo) [1] is a small village and a civil parish in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It includes O'Rahilly Park where the Clonoe O'Rahillys Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club play their home games. It was the scene of the Clonoe ambush in 1992.

It has been called "Caufle" by local people for upwards of two hundred years as evidenced by a sketch of the Castle c1830 in which the artist refers to 'Castle Coffell'.

Loughgilly is a small village, townland and civil parish in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It is on the main Armagh to Newry road, about halfway between the two. It is within the Armagh City and District Council area. It had a population of 84 people in the 2011 Census.

Moy Tír na nÓg is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Moy, a village in the south of County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It fields teams at all age groups in Gaelic football and Ladies' Gaelic football, and is affiliated to Tyrone GAA, playing at present in the Senior Championship and in League Division 1.

Derrytresk

Derrytresk is a townland outside Coalisland, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland and is close to the shores of Lough Neagh. It is situated in the historic barony of Dungannon Middle and the civil parish of Clonoe and covers an area of 1020 acres. Derrytresk consists of sub-townlands: Derryvarne, Derrykiltena and Derrynahaskila.

Micheál 'Mike' Quirke is an Irish sportsperson. He plays Gaelic football with his local club Kerins O'Rahilly's and has been a member of the Kerry senior inter-county team since 2003.

Damian Cassidy is a former Gaelic football manager and former player for the Derry county team in the 1980s and 1990s, who was part of the county's 1993 All-Ireland Championship winning side, starting at left half forward. He also won two Ulster Senior Championship medals, three National League titles, and a range of under-age inter-county medals with the county. Cassidy played his club football for Bellaghy Wolfe Tones and won five Derry Championships and the 1994 Ulster Senior Club Football Championships with the club. For both club and county he usually played as a forward. Cassidy was also a talented hurler.

Clonoe ambush

The Clonoe Ambush was a military action between the British Army and the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) that occurred during The Troubles in Northern Ireland. On 16 February 1992, an IRA unit attacked the Royal Ulster Constabulary security base in the village of Coalisland in County Tyrone, and was ambushed shortly afterwards by the Special Air Service (SAS) in the grounds of a church in the village of Clonoe whilst attempting to make its escape, resulting in several IRA fatalities.

Clonoe ORahillys GAC

Clonoe O'Rahilly's GAC is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Clonoe, County Tyrone, Ireland .Their home ground is O'Rahilly Park which was opened in 1952.

The Battle of Binnion Hill was fought in 1557 when John O’Neill, the Grandson of Con O’Neill assembled an army to attack Tirconnell, modern day County Donegal. O’Neill’s plan was to defeat Manus O'Donnell from the Kinel-Connell and thus be the only King in Ulster.

The 2019 Tyrone Senior Football Championship is the 114th edition of Tyrone GAA's premier gaelic football tournament for clubs in Tyrone Senior Football League Division 1. 16 teams compete with the winners receiving the O'Neill Cup and representing Tyrone in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship.
