Diguna Fango is one of the woredas in the South Ethiopia Regional State of Ethiopia. It is a Part of the Wolayita Zone located in the Great Rift Valley, Diguna Fango is bordered on the southwest by Damot Weyde, on the west by Damot Gale, on the north by the Hadiya Zone, on the northeast by the Oromia Region, and on the east by Bilate river, which separates it from Sidama Region. The administrative center of the woreda is Bitena Town; the other major towns in the woreda include Dimtu, Kercheche, and Edo. Diguna Fango was separated from Damot Weyde woreda in 1998 E. C.

Demographics

Based on the 2017 population projection conducted by the CSA, [1] this woreda has a total population of 122,924, of whom 60,326 are men and 62,924 women; 3,404 or 3.53% of its population are urban dwellers. The majority of the inhabitants were Protestants, with 84.43% of the population reporting that belief, 8.97% practiced Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, and 5.57% were Roman Catholic. [2]

Quarit is one of the woredas in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Mirab Gojjam Zone, Quarit is bordered on the southwest by Jabi Tehnan, on the west by Sekela, on the north by Yilmana Densa, on the east by the Misraq Gojjam Zone, and on the southeast by Dega Damot. The major town in Quarit is Gebeze Mariam. Goncha woreda was separated from Quarit.

Part of the Mirab Gojjam Zone, Jabi Tehnan is bordered on the southeast by Dembecha, on the west by Bure, on the northwest by Sekela, on the north by Kuarit, and on the east by Dega Damot. The town and separate woreda of Finote Selam is surrounded by Jabi Tehnan. Towns in Jabi Tehnan include Jiga, Maksegnit and Mankusa.

Boloso Sore is a woreda in South Ethiopia Regional State, Ethiopia. Part of the Wolayita Zone, Boloso Sore is bordered on the south by Sodo Zuria and Damot Sore, on the west by Boloso Bombe, on the northeast by the Kembata Tembaro Zone, on the northeast by the Hadiya Zone, on the east by Damot Pulasa, and on the southeast by Damot Gale. The administrative center is at Areka. Boloso Bombe and Damot Sore woredas were separated from Boloso Sore.

Part of the Wolayita Zone, Sodo Zuria is bordered on the southwest by Offa, on the west by Kindo Koysha, on the northwest by Damot Sore, on the north by Boloso Sore, on the northeast by Damot Gale, on the east by Damot Weyde, on the west by Bayra Koysha and on the southeast by Humbo. Sodo city is an administrative center for Sodo Zuria woreda.

By air, the distance from Addis Ababa is 246 km. Finote Selam, the "Pacific Road", is the name given by Emperor Haile Silassie during the Italian invasion on Ethiopia. Formerly its name was Wojet. Now Finote Selam is the capital city of West Gojjam Zone. This town has a longitude and latitude of 10°42′N37°16′E with an elevation of 1917 meters above sea level.

Boloso Bombe is one of the woredas in the South Ethiopia Regional State of Ethiopia part of the Wolayita Zone. Boloso Bombe is bordered on the south by Kindo Koysha, on the west by the Dawro Zone, on the north by the Kembata Tembaro Zone, on the east by Boloso Sore, and on the southeast by Damot Sore. Dimtu or Wolaita Dimtu or Bilate Tena is a town in south-central Ethiopia. It has an elevation between 1,000 and 1,600 metres above sea level. It was part of the former Damot Weyde (Woreda) of Wolayita Zone, near to Sodo Zuria woreda. It is now under the Diguna Fango woreda. Some writers mention the town as Bilate Tena in their books and journals. Among them, Getahun Garedew, former Head Officer in Education Bureau of Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region, and State Minister of Ministry of Education since 2020, is the anterior. In the book "Local Adaptation Practices in Response to Climate Change in the Bilate River Basin, Southern Ethiopia", he used these two names, Dimtu and Bilate Tena, in a similar way.

Bitena is a town in Wolayita Zone, Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region, Ethiopia. It is administrative capital of Diguna Fango district of Wolayita Zone, Ethiopia. Bitena is located about 355 km away from Addis Ababa to the south on the path Addis-Hawassa-Dimtu-Sodo and 45 km away from Sodo, the capital of Wolaita Zone. It also specifically located between 22 km West of Dimtu town and 7 km northeast of Kercheche town. Bitena lies between 6°57'52.6"N 38°02'08.7"E.

Bedessa is located about 373 KM away from Addis Ababa to the south on Sodo-Dimtu-Hawassa road, and 21 KM away from Sodo, the capital of Wolaita Zone. The amenities in the town are, 24 hours electricity, pure public water, banks, schools, postal service, telecommunications services and others. The town has a wire bridge which connects the town with other surrounding communities. Bedessa lies between 6°52'58.9"N 37°55'58.5"E.

Hobicha is woredas in Wolaita Zone of South Ethiopia Regional State. The woreda was established in 2019 from the surrounding woredas. And those surrounding woredas formed border to the Hobicha woreda. Hobicha is bordered on the south by Bilate River and Lake Abaya, on the west by the Abala Abaya woreda, on the north by the Damot Weyde woreda, on the east by Diguna Fango woreda and Bilate River. The administrative center of this woreda is Bada Town.
