CSIDiocese of Cochin is one of the twenty four dioceses of the Church of South India (commonly referred to as CSI, successor of the Church of England and other Protestant church missions in South India) covering the churches in Ernakulam and Thrissur districts.
Cochin diocese was formed on 9 April 2015 after a special conference of the Church synod in Chennai. [1] Cochin diocese has been carved out of erstwhile North Kerala Diocese and remaining portion was furnished into CSI Malabar diocese.
CSI Immanuel Cathedral, Broadway, Ernakulam serves as its cathedral and was promulgated by CSI Moderator Most Rev. Thomas . K. Oommen.
The Kochi diocese comprises Ernakulam and Thrissur districts, parts of Idukki and Palakkad districts and CSI Holy Trinity Church, Hinkal, Mysore.
Its tradition is mainly Anglican and episcopal polity is followed.
CSI St. Francis Church, Fort Cochin
St. Francis Church, Kochi situated in Fort Kochi, originally built in 1503, is the oldest European church in India and was under the authority of Portuguese, Dutch and British colonial powers and finally handed over to the Church of South India at its inception. The Portuguese explorer, Vasco da Gama's body was originally buried in this church, but after fourteen years his remains were removed to Lisbon. This church was renovated by Rev. Thomas Norton, CMS missionary in an Anglican church style for a confirmation service. The Lord's prayer is inscribed on its wooden altar screen.

St. John the Baptist Church, Aluva built in 1891 by the leadership of Church missionary society (CMS) and was under the auspices of former Travancore cochin Anglican diocese at its beginning and is one of the oldest CMS-built churches in Kerala. Later, It became part of CSI North Kerala diocese. When CSI cochin diocese was established, it became under its see. Now Aluva St. John the Baptist C.S.I church is in its 125th jubilee year. Rev. Praise Thaiparambil the 20th vicar of this church after India's independence and who is the parish member ordained in the 100th year of the church and became the presbyter of his mother parish.

Ernakulam is one of the 14 districts in the Indian state of Kerala, and takes its name from the eponymous city division in Kochi. It is situated in the central part of the state, spans an area of about 2,924 square kilometres (1,129 sq mi), and is home to over 9% of Kerala's population. Its headquarters are located at Kakkanad. Muvattupuzha is a town, municipality in the midlands directly to the east of Kochi in Ernakulam district, Kerala, India. It is located about 36 km (22 mi) from downtown Kochi, and is a growing urban centre in central Kerala. The town is also the starting point of the Muvattupuzhayar, which is a confluence formed by three rivers: the Thodupuzhayar, Kaliyar, and Kothayar.

The Anamala or Anaimalai, also known as the Elephant Mountains, are a range of mountains in the southern Western Ghats of central Kerala and span the border of western Tamil Nadu in Southern India. The name anamala is derived from the Malayalam word aana and the Tamil word yaanai, meaning elephant, or from tribal languages. The Major Archeparchy of Ernakulam–Angamaly is the major archeparchy and the see of the Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church. It has been the major archeparchy since 1992 when the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church was elevated to the status of a major archiepiscopal church with Ernakulam-Angamaly as the primatal see. Aluva railway station is a railway station in the city of Aluva in the Ernakulam district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is an NSG 3 grade station under Thiruvananthapuram railway division. The station lies in the Shoranur–Cochin Harbour section of Thiruvananthapuram railway division. It is located right aside Aluva KSRTC bus stand, one of the main bus terminals in Ernakulam district, and a kilometre away from Aluva metro station of the Kochi Metro.
The Madhya Kerala Diocese is one of the twenty-four dioceses of the Church of South India covering the central part of Kerala. When the Church of South India was formed on 27 September 1947, the diocese was called the Diocese of Central Travancore. It was a part of the erstwhile Anglican Diocese of Travancore and Cochin founded in 1879. The Diocese was later renamed as the Diocese of Madhya Kerala.
