The Mumm 30 World Championship laterly known as the Farr 30 World Championship was an annual international sailing regatta for Farr 30 class, they are organized by the host club on behalf of the International Farr 30 Class Association and recognized by World Sailing, the sports IOC recognized governing body. The class gained World Sailing recognition at the end of Nov 1997 [1] until 2018. [2]
The trophy for the world championship is over 100 year old and gifted from the Royal Canadian Yacht Club trophy, the winners were also awarded a jeroboam of Mumm Champagne.

The Farr 40 is a 40-foot one-design sailboat designed by Farr Yacht Design in 1996 following after the Mumm 30. It was originally designed as a one design class but had some compromises in design to rate under the International Measurement System (IMS) rule. The class has held World Sailing class status since 1997.
Mean Machine is the name of the yachts and the sailing team owned by Dutch Businessman Peter de Ridder.
Chris Draper is a British sailor who has won multiple World and European championships and a bronze medal at the Sailing at the 2004 Olympic competing in the mixed 49er. He has been a winner of the Extreme Sailing Series and was helmsman for Luna Rossa, Italy's America's cup challenger 2011 to 2015. In the 34th Americas cup he became the first Britain to helm in the Louis Vuitton cup final. For the ACWS & 35th America's Cup between 2015 and the Cup event in Bermuda in June 2017 he held the position of Sailing Team Manager / Tactician and Wing trimmer for Softbank Team Japan. In 2019 he became CEO and Wing trimmer for the Great Britain team racing in the newly formed SailGP, racing the F50 hydro foiling catamarans in a global racing circuit. In 2021 he joined the Japanese SailGP team as a Wing Trimmer. winning multiple events during the 2021/2022 SailGP season and finishing runners up overall.
