The 2023 Sailing World Championships will be held in The Hague, the Netherlands, from 8 to 20 August 2023. It will be the sixth edition of the Sailing World Championships. [1] It is the world championships for all disciplines used at the next Olympics, and for four para sailing classes. It will take place on the waters off Scheveningen and offer the chance to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, whose sailing competition will be held in Marseille. [2] Para sailing will be held on Braassemermeer. [2] Approximately 1,400 sailors are expected. [1]

In May 2018, The Hague was chosen. [4] In 2020, it was decided the championships will be held in 2023 instead of 2022. [3]

The 2018 World Para Swimming European Championships, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2018 World Para Swimming Allianz European Championships took place in Dublin, Ireland from 13 to 19 August 2018. This article details the qualifying phase for sailing at the 2024 Summer Olympics. 312 quota places for the Games are entitled to the sailors coming from their respective NOCs, based on the results at designated regattas supervised by World Sailing. Host nation France reserves a single boat in each of the ten sailing classes, whereas four quota places are distributed to the NOCs competing in the men's ILCA 7 and women's ILCA 6 under the Tripartite Commission.
