Fighting Force 2 is a beat 'em up/shooter video game, the sequel to 1997's Fighting Force . The game was released for the PlayStation and Dreamcast and was developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive.
Set in the not-too-distant future, human cloning has become a reality but has been banned by international treaty. The Knackmiche Corporation is suspected of researching cloning, and mercenary Hawk Manson is sent on a covert mission to investigate.
It features hand-to-hand and weapons combat like the original game but does not include multiplayer support. While it includes more weapons and larger levels than its predecessor, the sequel includes only one playable character this time around: Hawk Manson.

Unlike its predecessor which received some decent reviews, Fighting Force 2 was not very successful, and received mixed reviews on both platforms according to the review aggregation website GameRankings. [4] [5] Blake Fischer of NextGen said in its February 2000 issue that the PlayStation version was "Solid, but ultimately uninspiring. You'll burn out on this game long before you beat it." [26] An issue later, Jeff Lundrigan of the same magazine called the Dreamcast version "The very definition of a two-star game: 'Perhaps competent; certainly uninspired.'" [25]
In one review, Four-Eyed Dragon of GamePro said of the PlayStation version in its February 2000 issue, "Ultimately, Fighting Force 2 is battered by meager controls and lacks the fast action of other games in the same genre. At best, it's worth a rental for those who desire a night of fists-in-your-face gameplay." [28] [c] In another review, the D-Pad Destroyer said that the same console version was "many things but it is not a good sequel to Fighting Force. Those of you looking for one more action/adventure title might want to give this one a look, but only until Syphon Filter 2 . Come to think of it, just go play Syphon Filter again. You deserve better than this." [29] [d] Later on, the same author said of the Dreamcast version in one review, "If you really need that action fix on the Dreamcast, you might want to give Fighting Force 2 a look. Otherwise, you most likely just won't have much fun with this game. A little more work might have made this game better, but Fighting Force 2's DC version seems like more of an afterthought." [30] [e] In another review, Jake The Snake said of the same console version in the magazine's April 2000 issue, "Though it delivers some enjoyable mayhem, Fighting Force 2 doesn't offer much to separate it from other Dreamcast titles." Due to its lackluster sales and a less-than-pleased fanbase, the series eventually ended. A third game was in development, but was cancelled when Core Design closed down.
Gauntlet Legends is an arcade game released in 1998 by Atari Games and Midway Games. It is a fantasy themed hack and slash styled dungeon crawl game, a sequel to 1985's popular Gauntlet and 1986's Gauntlet II and marks the final game in the series to be produced by Atari Games. Its unusual features for an arcade game included passwords and characters that could be saved, enabling players to play over the course of a long period.
Millennium Soldier: Expendable, known in Japan as Seitai Heiki Expendable, and in North America as just Expendable, is a run and gun video game that was released by Rage Software for Microsoft Windows in 1999. It was later ported to the Dreamcast and PlayStation consoles. A remake of the game, entitled Expendable: Rearmed, was released for Android in 2012. It is in the format of a modern arcade game. The player starts with 7 "credits" and can continue until running out of credits. A second player can join the game at any time by pressing start.
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing is a boxing video game developed by Midway Studios San Diego, and published by Midway in September 1999 for the Dreamcast. Ports for Nintendo 64 and PlayStation were developed by Point of View and released in November 1999 alongside a separate version for Game Boy Color by Crawfish Interactive. The success of the Dreamcast version led to it becoming one of the few Sega All Stars titles.
Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense is a 1999 vehicular combat game developed by Luxoflux and published by Activision for PlayStation, Dreamcast and Nintendo 64. It is the sequel to Vigilante 8.
Star Wars: Demolition is a 2000 vehicular combat game created by Luxoflux and LucasArts using the Vigilante 8 game engine. It is set in the Star Wars universe, where the Galactic Empire has banned Jabba the Hutt's podraces, so Jabba creates a more life-threatening vehicular combat contest.
Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness is a maze chase video game developed and published by Namco for the PlayStation in 2000. It was later released for the Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and Game Boy Advance. A remake of Ms. Pac-Man (1982), players control the titular character in her quest to stop a witch named Mesmerelda from stealing the Gems of Virtue. The game was well-received upon release, with critics applauding its simplicity and faithfulness to the arcade original. A sequel was in development around 2006, but was cancelled for unknown reasons.
WWF Attitude is a professional wrestling video game based on the World Wrestling Federation released by Acclaim Entertainment in 1999 for the PlayStation and Nintendo 64. A slightly enhanced port of the game was later released for the Dreamcast, as well as a handheld version for the Game Boy Color. The game is named after the WWF's then-current "Attitude" marketing campaign, with the tagline "Get it" also being used on company programming during that period.
South Park: Chef's Luv Shack is a 2D game show-style party video game and is a sequel to the 1998 video game South Park, itself based on the American animated sitcom of the same name. Developed by Acclaim Studios Austin and published by Acclaim Entertainment, it was released in 1999 for the Dreamcast, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation and Nintendo 64. Its gameplay involves playing minigames and the ability to play against other players in a challenge for the most points. It also involves trivia questions about South Park and other topics.

Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000, also known as simply Capcom vs. SNK in international releases, is a 2000 head-to-head fighting game produced by Capcom originally released as a coin-operated arcade game for Sega's NAOMI hardware and later ported to the Dreamcast. It is the second game in the SNK vs. Capcom series and the first game in the series to be released for the arcade.
Ultimate Fighting Championship is a set of two video games based on the Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts promotion. One version was released for home consoles by developer Anchor for Sega Dreamcast in August 2000. This version was ported to PlayStation by Opus in November. A separate version was released for Game Boy Color by developer Fluid Studios in November of the same year. The game was published by Crave Entertainment in North America, by Ubi Soft in Europe, and by Capcom for Dreamcast and PlayStation versions in Japan.
International Track & Field 2000 is a track and field game for PlayStation in 1999 and Nintendo 64 in 2000. It was released in Europe under the names International Track & Field: Summer Games on the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color, International Track & Field 2 on the PlayStation and International Track & Field on the PlayStation 2 and in Japan as Ganbare! Nippon! Olympics 2000, where it was licensed by the Japanese Olympic Committee.
