FC Dynamo Kyiv professional association football club based in Kiev, Ukraine

Football Club Dynamo Kyiv is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Kyiv. Founded in 1927 as part of the Soviet Dynamo Sports Society, the club plays in the Ukrainian Premier League, and has never been relegated to a lower division. Their home is the 70,050 capacity Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex.

The 1992–93 Vyshcha Liha season was the second since its establishment. Tavriya Simferopol were the defending champions, having won their 1st national league title in history. A total of sixteen teams participated in the competition, fourteen of them contested the 1992 season while the remaining two were promoted from the Ukrainian First League.

The 2000–01 Vyshcha Liha season was the 10th since its establishment. FC Dynamo Kyiv were the defending champions.

The 2015–16 Ukrainian Premier League season is the 25th top level football competitions since the fall of the Soviet Union and the eighth since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League. Because of sponsorship the league changed its title for 2015–16 season to League Pari-Match. The competition commenced on 17 July when Metalurh Zaporizhia hosted Zorya Luhansk in Zaporizhia. The first sixteen rounds were played before the winter break which began 6 December 2015; the competition resumed on 5 March 2016. The season concluded on 15 May 2016. Dynamo Kyiv are the defending champions. With the continuation of the Ukrainian crisis in the oblasts of Donetsk and Luhansk, the league remained at 14 teams after being cut from 16 in the 2013–14 season.

The 2013–14 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 23rd since its establishment.

2016–17 Ukrainian Premier League

The 2016–17 Ukrainian Premier League season is the 26th top level football club competitions since the fall of the Soviet Union and the ninth since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League. The league is scheduled to play its first 18 rounds before the winter break finishing its first stage of tournament in March. The second stage is scheduled to start on 1 April 2017 and finish on 31 May 2017.

Ukrainian football clubs have participated in European football competitions since 1965, when in the 1965–66 season, Dynamo Kyiv took part in the European Cup Winners' Cup – the first Ukrainian and the first Soviet club to do so. In total, 17 different clubs have represented Ukraine in European competition, among which 7 also previously represented the Soviet Union.

The 1992 season was the first season in the top Ukrainian football league for Dynamo Kyiv. Dynamo competed in Vyshcha Liha, and Ukrainian Cup.
