It operates buses, light rail, commuter rail, and high-occupancy vehicle lanes in Dallas and twelve of its suburbs. In 2023, the system had a ridership of 50,463,300, or about 166,900 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2023.

The Telecom Corridor is a technology business center in Richardson, Texas, a northern suburb of Dallas, which contains over 25 million square feet of office space and accounts for over 130,000 jobs. Located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and home to the University of Texas at Dallas, the Corridor is a strip about 6.5 miles (10.5 km) long along U.S. Route 75 (US 75), between President George Bush Turnpike and Interstate 635 (I-635) and is often considered an area of the Silicon Prairie. More than 5,700 companies, including 600 technology companies are headquartered in the area, including significant players such as AT&T, Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Verizon, Samsung, Texas Instruments, and MetroPCS. Some of these companies also have offices in Telecom Valley located in California. Although the Telecom Corridor was a booming area of Dallas's economy during the late 1990s, the dot-com bust of 2000 hit the region hard. However, it began recovering in 2004, and that recovery has since picked up momentum, gaining both the operations of many non-technology-related companies and many previously non-existent residential units designed in the New Urbanist style. The name "Telecom Corridor" is a registered trademark and may technically only be used to describe the area mentioned in this article.

Inwood/Love Field station is a DART Light Rail station in Dallas, Texas. It is located over Inwood Road, after which the station is named, and alongside Denton Drive in the Oak Lawn neighborhood. The station is served by the Green Line and Orange Line. From this station, it is about an 11 minute ride to West End station in Downtown Dallas and about a 39 minute ride on the Orange Line to DFW Airport station, at the region's other major airport.
The Silver Line, also known as the Cotton Belt Rail Line, is an under construction 26-mile (42 km) hybrid rail line traversing Collin, Dallas, and Tarrant Counties in the U.S. state of Texas operated by Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). Whispering Hills is a neighborhood consisting of 615 homes within the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas, Texas adjacent to the suburbs of Richardson and Garland. It is generally bounded by Buckingham Rd along the Richardson border to the north, to the east by the Garland border near Plano Rd, to the south by Walnut St, and to the west by the KCS Railroad and Audelia Branch Greenbelt near Audelia Rd.
Camp Wisdom station is an at-grade DART Light Rail station along the Blue Line, which is located at 6712 Patrol Way in Dallas, Texas. It opened on October 24, 2016 as part of the South Oak Cliff Corridor extension. DART has hoped that this extension will help spur development south of Ledbetter along the new corridor to UNT Dallas. The station is within walking distance of the Dallas Police Department's South Central station. It also includes bus access from the west side of Patrol Way.
D2 Subway is a proposed 2.4 mi (3.9 km) expansion of the DART Light Rail system in metropolitan Dallas, Texas, in the United States. The subway would run from the existing Victory station, tunneling underground through the city centre of downtown Dallas, and connect to the existing tunnel under Cityplace. Four new stations would be built along the new alignment.
