Sir Raymond Douglas Davies, is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He was the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter for the Kinks, which he led with his younger brother, Dave. Samlesbury witches 17th-century English women accused of witchcraft

The Samlesbury witches were three women from the Lancashire village of Samlesbury – Jane Southworth, Jennet Bierley, and Ellen Bierley – accused by a 14-year-old girl, Grace Sowerbutts, of practising witchcraft. Their trial at Lancaster Assizes in England on 19 August 1612 was one in a series of witch trials held there over two days, among the most famous in English history. The trials were unusual for England at that time in two respects: Thomas Potts, the clerk to the court, published the proceedings in his The Wonderfull Discoverie of Witches in the Countie of Lancaster; and the number of the accused found guilty and hanged was unusually high, ten at Lancaster and another at York. All three of the Samlesbury women were acquitted however.

The first six years were hosted by White Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pennsylvania,, northwest of Philadelphia. In 1987, it moved a short distance south to DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware.

Betty Ann Davies British actress

Betty Ann Davies was a British stage and film actress active from the 1920s to the 1950s. She died young in 1955 aged 44 following an operation. Miss Davies made her first stage appearance at the Palladium in a revue in 1924. The following year she joined Cochran's Young Ladies in revues such as "One Dam Thing After Another" and "This Year of Grace". Betty Ann Davies enjoyed a long and distinguished West End career which included "The Good Companions" 1934, "Morning Star" 1942, and "Blithe Spirit" 1943. Her outstanding stage triumph was in the role of Blanche du Bois, which she took over from Vivien Leigh, in the original West End production of " A Streetcar Named Desire". Miss Davies appeared in 38 films, and was active in TV at the time of her death. She left one son Brook Blackford.

Rak-Su are a British manband, formed in Watford. The band's name is a shortening of "Tracks v. Suits", i.e. "music and fun vs. adult life." They rose to fame when they won the fourteenth series of The X Factor UK in 2017 mentored by Simon Cowell. The group is made up of Ashley Fongho, Jamaal Shurland, Mustafa Rahimtulla and Myles Stephenson. "Dimelo", which featured Naughty Boy and Wyclef Jean, was released as their winner's single; its release marked the first time a winner's single was written by the winning competitor. It entered the UK Singles Chart at number two, behind Ed Sheeran's "Perfect". Their self-titled debut extended play, Rak-Su, was released on 16 February 2018 and features four songs performed on The X Factor, "I'm Feeling You", "Mamacita", "Mona Lisa" and "Dimelo".
