Hardy is a city in Humboldt County, Iowa, United States. The population was 57 at the time of the 2020 census. [2]
Hardy got its start in the year 1881, following construction of the Cedar Rapids, Iowa Falls and Northwestern Railway through that territory. [3]

There were 25 housing units at an average density of 55.6 per square mile (21.5/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 91.2% White, 1.8% Black or African American, 0.0% Native American, 0.0% Asian, 0.0% Pacific Islander, 0.0% from other races and 7.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino persons of any race comprised 3.5% of the population.
Of the 21 households, 47.6% of which had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.6% were married couples living together, 9.5% were cohabitating couples, 19.0% had a female householder with no spouse or partner present and 23.8% had a male householder with no spouse or partner present. 19.0% of all households were non-families. 14.3% of all households were made up of individuals, 4.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years old or older.
