Sayyed Hesham Abdul Wahab (born 14 October 1990) is an Indian music director, singer and audio engineer. [1] [2] He is a recipient of a Kerala State Film Award and a SIIMA Award.

Early life

Sayyed Hesham Abdul Wahab was born in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia. Born in a family of musicians, [3] he took interest in music at a very young age and got professional training in Carnatic and Hindustani classical music. He started singing at an early age of 8 and was introduced to Piano when he was 11 And When he was 12 years old He Started Learning Classical Music From his music teacher Jaleel Cochin From Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Hesham married Ayshath Safa on 22 January 2018. After completing schooling from International Indian School, Riyadh, he went on to complete a diploma in Audio Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Audio Production from SAE Institute with top honor's. Career

Early career

Hesham left Saudi Arabia to go to India in 2007 to be part of the music reality show Idea Star Singer [5] which paved the way for his foray into playback singing and later composing.

Recording career

Hesham's first recording project was in 2013 with his first single Meri Dua [6] produced by Offline Creations. He got his first major break when Andante Records signed him for their record label. His first album Qadam Badha(Step Forward), [7] an amalgamation of Sufi music and World Music produced by eminent Iran born British singer-songwriter Sami Yusuf was released in 2015.

He forayed into Malayalam film industry as a music director that same year with the film Salt Mango Tree . [8] His debut as a music composer for the Bollywood film [9] Mera India is set to release in 2019. He has also worked with several noted composers and lent his voice to many Indian films. In 2018, one of his songs – Jaana meri janaa from the film Cappuccino fetched Vineeth Sreenivasan his second SIIMA award for the Best Playback Singer in Malayalam. [10]

In 2018, He founded LIVEwithMUSIC, an independent music academy where he takes classes on sound production. [11] Hesham arranged and mixed filmmaker Alphonse Puthren's debut composition, Kathakal Chollidaam , which was released as a music video featuring several Malayalam film actors and their children. He composed the soundtrack of Vineeth Sreenivasan's film Hridayam , which consists of 15 songs. [12]

Premam is the soundtrack album for the 2015 Malayalam film of the same name directed by Alphonse Puthren and starring Nivin Pauly. The original soundtrack and background score were composed by Rajesh Murugesan, who had collaborated with Puthren in the film Neram (2013). Shabareesh Varma, beside singing, wrote the lyrics for eight of the nine songs. One song "Rockaankuthu" which had lyrics written by Pradeep Palarr was sung by Tamil film composer Anirudh Ravichander. The soundtrack album was released by the record label Muzik 247 on 14 February 2015 and topped the charts, with songs "Aaluva Puzha" and "Malare" became instant hits. The music and background score is composed by playback singer-composer Hesham Abdul Wahab. The soundtrack album features 15 songs with lyrics written by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, Arun Alat, Guna Balasubramanian and Sreenivasan. It was purchased and marketed by Think Music.

Noble Babu Thomas is an Indian film producer, screenwriter, and actor who works in Malayalam films. He started his career as a film producer and founded the film production company Big Bang Entertainments in 2015. His debut production was Jacobinte Swargarajyam (2016), starring Nivin Pauly and directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. The film grossed ₹25 crore at the box office and completed 100 days in Kerala.

The 45th Kerala Film Critics Association Awards, honouring the best Malayalam films released in 2021, were announced in October 2022.

It also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, Y. G. Mahendran, Shaan Rahman, Neeta Pillai, Aju Varghese, Basil Joseph, Neeraj Madhav, and Vineeth Sreenivasan himself in supporting roles. The film's original songs and background score were composed by debutant Amrit Ramnath.
