The Hunter 25.5 is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a masthead sloop rig, a raked stem, a vertical transom, a transom-hung rudder controlled by a tiller and a fixed fin keel. It displaces 4,500 lb (2,041 kg) and carries 1,600 lb (726 kg) of ballast. [1] [3]
The boat has a draft of 4.50 ft (1.37 m) with the standard keel and 3.33 ft (1.01 m) with the optional shoal draft wing keel. [1] [3]
