Laverne Eve (born 16 June 1965, in Nassau) is a female track and field athlete from the Bahamas, who competes in the javelin throw. Her personal best throw (new javelin) is 63.73 metres, achieved in April 2000 in Nashville. In her early career she also competed in shot put and discus throw. 30 years after starting her career, she still throws at a high level.

Eve was a member of the Louisiana State University track and field team.

In 1982 and in 1983, she was awarded the Austin Sealy Trophy for the most outstanding athlete both of the 1982 CARIFTA Games and 1983 CARIFTA Games. [1] [2] [3] She was the first athlete to gain the trophy for the second time.[ citation needed ]

The CARIFTA Games is an annual athletics competition founded by the Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA). The games was first held in 1972 and consists of track and field events including sprint races, hurdles, middle distance track events, jumping and throwing events, and relays. The Games has two age categories: under-17 and under-20. Only countries associated with CARIFTA may compete in the competition.

Yainelis Ribeaux Rustafull is a Cuban track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw. She was the 2009 Central American and Caribbean Champion in the event and runner-up at the 2011 Pan American Games. She represented Cuba at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics and the 2012 Summer Olympics. Her personal best is 63.18 metres.

Janieve Russell is a Jamaican track and field athlete who competes mainly in the 400 metres hurdles and the 400 metres sprint. Colleen Felix is a Grenadian former track and field athlete who competed in the heptathlon. In 2009, she set the national record in that event. She is also a former national record holder in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 47.62m at Arizona State Invitational on 26 March 2011. This record was subsequently broken by Candesha Scott in 2016 at the Carifta Games. After an absence from competition, Colleen returned to competition in 2017. She took part in the revived Whitsuntide games and then the OECS Track and Field Championships which were both held at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium in Grenada.
