The Lexus LM is a luxury MPV produced and manufactured by Japanese brand Lexus, a luxury division of Toyota. Introduced in 2019 as the first minivan from Lexus, two generations of the LM have been produced with varying degrees of relation with the Toyota Alphard/Vellfire. The first generation LM was available as a seven or four-seater with petrol and hybrid engine options from 2020 to 2023. As of the second generation, the LM is exclusively a hybrid, and is available in four, six, and seven-seater configurations.

The first-generation LM was unveiled on 16 April 2019 at the 18th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition and first released on 20 February 2020 in China. [3] Based on the third-generation Alphard, the LM is slightly longer than the Alphard it is based on, measuring in at 5,040 mm (198.4 in) long.
Compared to the third-generation Alphard, the LM features newer and stronger structural components, along with additional soundproofing elements such as dual-pane windows. There were two seating configurations available, a 7-seater configuration that is based on the Alphard Executive Lounge variant, and a 4-seater configuration named the "Emperor Suite", based on the Alphard Royal Lounge variant. The LM features a new suspension setup featuring Swing Valve technology. [4]
The first-generation LM was available in China, [5] Taiwan, [6] Hong Kong, [7] and Southeast Asian markets such as Indonesia, [8] Thailand, [9] the Philippines, [10] Malaysia, [11] and Vietnam. [12] [13] Despite being built in Japan, the first-generation LM was not available there.
Two engine options are available, a 2.5-liter 2AR-FXE hybrid four-cylinder in the LM 300h, and the 3.5-liter 2GR-FKS V6 in the LM 350 (2GR-FE for the Hong Kong market).

The second-generation LM debuted on 18 April 2023 at the Shanghai Auto Show. [20] The model is further distanced from the Alphard/Vellfire with a different bodywork and a separate model code. [21]
The model is exclusively sold as a hybrid vehicle, abandoning the conventional petrol model from the previous model, now having only a petrol hybrid version.
The model features the latest iteration of the "spindle grille" that is hexagon-patterned, replacing the large spindle grille of the outgoing model, while the Lexus emblem moves from the grille to the hood. [22] The A-pillars are blacked out to create a full floating roof effect. [23]
A first for Lexus, the second-generation LM debuts "Rear Climate Concierge", which integrates controls of the air conditioning, sunshades, lighting, seat position, etc. [24] The LM also features heated armrests and ottomans, another Lexus first, and is available with a 48-inch rear screen. [25]
Two models will be offered, 350h and 500h, with Lexus' Direct4 electric four-wheel drive system available. [26] It will be available in three configurations: 4-seater, 6-seater, and 7-seater, as well as 4 exterior colors: Black, White, Beige, and Red. [27] With the new generation, Lexus has expanded its availability by launching it in several countries, including in Europe, Australia and Japan for the first time. [28] Despite this, the LM will not be available in North America.
The LM went on sale in Japan in mid October 2023. It is available as the 500h Executive grade only. The LM is available in 4 exterior colors (Sonic Quartz, Sonic Titanium, Graphite Black Glass Flakes, and Sonic Agate), and two interior colors (Solis White with Satin Copper trim, and Black with Satin Silver trim). Test drives for the LM are slated to be ready in January 2024. [29] The 6-seater and 7-seater models will be available at a later date.
As is tradition for most Lexus and Toyota models available in Japan, the LM gains a styling kit from Toyota's Modellista division. It includes a front lip spoiler, a rear bumper spoiler, side skirts, a chrome garnish for the front and rear, and side garnishes for the front end forward the air intakes. 19-inch alloy wheels complete the exterior appearance, while a lacquered panel is fitted to the interior partition to complete the kit. The LM 350h was launched in China in August 2023. [31] in November 2023, The LM 500h 4-seater and 6-seater models will be launched at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show. [32]
The LM was introduced in Spain in late May 2023. [33] It will be available in the UK in the third quarter of 2023. [34]
The LM will be available in Australia in December 2023. In June 2023, the LM received regulatory approval for sale in Australia. [35]
The LM was launched in India in August 2023, with bookings commencing on 24 August. [36]
The LM was launched in Thailand on 1 September 2023. It is offered as the Executive 7-Seater and Executive 4-Seater. [37]
The LM was launched in Indonesia on 2 October 2023, during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. [38] Two variants are available, the LM 350h 7-seater and LM500h 4-seater. [39]
The LM was launched in Malaysia on 27 May 2024. Two variants are available, the LM 350h 7-seater and LM500h 4-seater. [40]
The second generation LM uses the same engine used on multiple vehicles based on the GA-K platform, such as the A25A-FXS and T24A-FTS engines. The LM 350h will have 184 kW (247 hp; 250 PS), whereas the LM 500h will have 273 kW (366 hp; 371 PS). [41]

The Lexus ES is a series of mid-size executive cars marketed since 1989 by Lexus, the luxury division of Toyota, across multiple generations, each offering V6 engines and a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. The first five generations of the ES used the Toyota Camry platform, while the latter generations are more closely related to both the Camry and the Avalon. Manual transmissions were offered until 1993, a lower-displacement inline-four engine became an option in Asian markets in 2010, and a gasoline-electric hybrid version was introduced in 2012. The ES was Lexus's only front-wheel drive vehicle until 1998, when the related RX was introduced, and the sedan occupied the entry-level luxury car segment of the Lexus lineup in North America and other regions until the debut of the IS in 1999. The ES name stands for "Executive Sedan". However, some Lexus importers use the name, "Elegant Sedan".
The Toyota GR engine family is a gasoline, open-deck, piston V6 engine series. The GR series has a 60° die-cast aluminium block and aluminium DOHC cylinder heads. This engine series also features 4 valves per cylinder, forged steel connecting rods and crankshaft, one-piece cast camshafts, a timing chain, and a cast aluminium lower intake manifold. Some variants use multi-port fuel injection, some have D4 direct injection, and others have a combination of direct injection and multi-port fuel injection or D4-S.
The Toyota Alphard is a minivan produced by the Japanese automaker Toyota since 2002. It is available as a seven or eight-seater with petrol and hybrid engine options. Hybrid variants have been available since 2003, which incorporates Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive technology. It is Toyota's flagship minivan.
The Toyota Noah is a minivan with two rear sliding doors built by Toyota and sold mainly in Asian countries. It is positioned below the Alphard, and above the Sienta. The Noah was also positioned below the Estima until the latter was discontinued in 2019.

The Lexus HS is a dedicated hybrid vehicle introduced by Lexus as a new compact executive car sedan in 2009. Built on the Toyota New MC platform, it is classified as a compact under Japanese regulations concerning vehicle exterior dimensions and engine displacement. Unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in January 2009, the HS 250h went on sale in July 2009 in Japan, followed by the United States in August 2009 as a 2010 model. The HS 250h represented the first dedicated hybrid vehicle in the Lexus lineup, as well as the first offered with an inline-four gasoline engine. Bioplastic materials are used for the vehicle interior. With a total length of 4,700 mm (190 in), the Lexus HS is slightly larger than the Lexus IS, but still smaller than the mid-size Lexus ES.
The Lexus RX is a luxury crossover SUV sold since 1998 by Lexus, a luxury division of Toyota. Originally released in its home market of Japan in late 1997 as the Toyota Harrier, export sales began in March 1998 as the Lexus RX.
The Suzuki Ertiga is a series of multi-purpose vehicles (MPV) manufactured by the Japanese carmaker Suzuki since the year 2012. The first-generation model is heavily based on the Swift while the second-generation model introduced in 2018 is made larger and based on the HEARTECT platform. A crossover-styled version was introduced in 2019 as a separate model called the Suzuki XL6 in India and Suzuki XL7 for worldwide markets. The largest markets for the Ertiga are India and Indonesia, where the model is mainly manufactured. The Dynamic Force engines are a family of internal combustion engines developed by Toyota under the brand's Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) strategy. The engines can be fueled by petrol (gasoline) or ethanol and can be combined with electric motors in a hybrid drivetrain. The engines were developed alongside the TNGA family of vehicle platforms, as part of a company-wide effort to simplify the vehicles being produced by Toyota.
The Lexus TX is a full-size luxury crossover SUV with three-row seating produced by Japanese brand Lexus, a luxury division of Toyota. Produced since September 2023, it is exclusively marketed in North America. The TX is constructed upon the front- and all-wheel drive TNGA-K platform, shared with its Toyota Grand Highlander sibling and the mid-size XU70 Highlander/Kluger. The TX was revealed simultaneously with the J250 GX on June 8, 2023. Replacing the RX L, it takes the position of being the brand's only three-row crossover SUV.
