The 2008–09 Danish Superliga was the 19th season of Danish Superliga league championship, which determines the winners of the Danish football championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. The season started on 19 July 2008 and ended on 31 May 2009. The defending champions were Aalborg BK.
The 2013–14 season is AaB's 31st consecutive season in the top flight of Danish football, 24th consecutive season in the Danish Superliga, and 128th year in existence as a football club. AaB will participate in the Europa League this season, coming in 5th place in the 2012–13 Danish Superliga. The club had the most successful season in its history, winning the Danish Superliga for a fourth time and the Danish Cup for a third time, therefore becoming the fifth Danish club to complete the "Double".
The 2012–2013 season is AaB's 30th consecutive season in the top flight of Danish football, 23rd consecutive season in the Danish Superliga, and 127th year in existence as a football club.
The 2016–17 season was FC Midtjylland's 17th consecutive season in the Danish Superliga. Midtjylland participated in the Europa League this season, after finishing 3rd in the 2015–16 Danish Superliga.
The 2018–19 Danish Superliga season was the 29th season of the Danish Superliga. Midtjylland were the defending champions. The season started on 13 July 2018 and ended on 26 May 2019.
The 2017–18 season was AaB's 35th consecutive season in the top flight of Danish football, 28th consecutive season in the Danish Superliga, and 132nd year in existence as a football club.
The 2018–19 season was AaB's 36th consecutive season in the top flight of Danish football, 29th consecutive season in the Danish Superliga, and 133rd year in existence as a football club.
The 2019–20 season is AaB's 37th consecutive season in the top flight of Danish football, 30th consecutive season in the Danish Superliga, and 134th year in existence as a football club.
The 2020–21 season was AaB's 38th consecutive season in the top flight of Danish football, 31st consecutive season in the Danish Superliga, and 135th year in existence as a football club.
The 2020–21 Brøndby IF season was Brøndby IF's 40th consecutive season in top-division of the Danish football league, the 31st consecutive in Danish Superliga, and the 55th as a football club. Besides the Superliga, the club also competed in the 2020–21 Danish Cup, losing in the fourth round to Danish 1st Division side Fremad Amager. It was the second season with head coach Niels Frederiksen, after he replaced caretaker manager Martin Retov during the previous campaign.
