This is a list of species in the agaric genus Leucocoprinus . [1] [2]
As of October 2022, Species Fungorum [3] and Mycobank [2] contain just under 100 currently recognised species of Leucocoprinus in total. The majority of these species are not well known and not often recorded. Some may be described based on a single recorded observation and a decades' old deposited specimen and may be subject to future reclassification. New species are regularly being described from remote tropical locations with only a small number of the species here being commonly observed in temperate regions. [4] Additionally some of these species may be synonyms that haven't been reclassified yet or remain as currently recognised species in error. For instance Leucocoprinus flos-sulphuris is a synonym for L. birnbaumii and Leucocoprinus zeyheri was reclassified as Macrolepiota zeyheri whilst newly described species such as L. fluminensis and L. rhodolepis have yet to be added to the list of accepted species.
Macrolepiota is a genus of white spored, gilled mushrooms of the family Agaricaceae. The best-known member is the parasol mushroom (M. procera). The widespread genus contains about 40 species.
Boletellus is a genus of fungi in the family Boletaceae. The genus has a widespread distribution, especially in subtropical regions, and contains about 50 species. The genus was first described by American mycologist William Alphonso Murrill in 1909. The genus name means "small Boletus".
Lentinus is a genus of fungi in the family Polyporaceae. The genus is widely distributed, with many species found in subtropical regions.
Phylloporus is a genus of fungi in the family Boletaceae. The genus has a cosmopolitan distribution, and contains about 50 species, mostly in tropical areas.
Cystodermella is a genus of fungi in the family Agaricaceae. The genus comprises about 12 species, noted for producing agaric fruit bodies, bearing a cap, white gills and stipe with a fine, ephemeral ring. The genus was devised by Harri Harmaja in 2002, dividing the older genus Cystoderma into three independent genera: Cystoderma, Ripartitella and Cystodermella largely on the basis of microscopic differences. Cystodermella species bear non-amyloid spores and sometimes cystidia. The spores, in contrast to Ripartitella are not echinulate.
Cystolepiota is a genus of mushroom-forming fungi in the family Agaricaceae.
Micropsalliota is a genus of small agaric fungi in the family Agaricaceae. The genus contains about 60 species, most of which are found in tropical areas.
Leucocoprinus wynneae is a species of mushroom producing fungus in the family Agaricaceae.
Leucocoprinus beelianus is a species of mushroom producing fungus in the family Agaricaceae.
Leucocoprinus citrinellus is a species of mushroom producing fungus in the family Agaricaceae.
Leucocoprinus heinemannii is a species of mushroom producing fungus in the family Agaricaceae.
Leucocoprinus velutipes is a species of mushroom producing fungus in the family Agaricaceae.
