The following is a list of awards and nominations received by American filmmaker Spike Lee .
Over the course of his distinguished film career, Lee has received various awards and nominations. He has received five competitive Academy Award nominations winning Best Adapted Screenplay for BlacKkKlansman (2018). He has also received two special Oscars, a Student Academy Award for Joe's Bed-Stuy Barbershop: We Cut Heads (1983), and an Honorary Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2016. He has also received two Primetime Emmy Awards for HBO documentary series When the Levees Broke (2007). He has also received five Golden Globe Award nominations, a Grammy Award nomination, and four British Academy Film Award nominations. In March 2024, Lee will receive a Board of Governor's Award from the American Society of Cinematographers. [1]

Spike Lee has been recognized by the Location Managers Guild International with their Trailblazer Award for his innovative and collaborative use of locations as a distinct character in his films.
Lee saluted location managers, saying without them, "I would not be able do what I do" as he rarely shoots on sets. "I'm out in the streets; I love shooting in the streets of New York City, especially the people's republic of Brooklyn, New York."

His work has continually explored race relations, issues within the black community, the role of media in contemporary life, urban crime and poverty, and other political issues. Lee has won numerous accolades for his work, including an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and two Peabody Awards. He has also been honored with an Honorary BAFTA Award in 2002, an Honorary César in 2003, and the Academy Honorary Award in 2015.
Terence Oliver Blanchard is a world-renowned, 7-time Grammy Award-winning jazz trumpeter and composer. He has also written two operas and more than 80 film and television scores. John David Washington is an American actor and former professional football player. He is the son of actor Denzel Washington and Pauletta Pearson. His The Only Good Indian (2009) was a feature film about Native American children at an Indian boarding school and the forced assimilation that took place. In Jayhawkers (2014), he followed the life of Wilt Chamberlain, Phog Allen and the 1956 Kansas Jayhawks basketball team. Willmott has collaborated with Spike Lee, with whom he shared an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for BlacKkKlansman. The two again collaborated in writing Da 5 Bloods, released worldwide digitally on June 12, 2020.

Laura Ruth Harrier is an American actress and model. She began modeling at the age of 17 after she was discovered by a location scout. She moved to New York City where she continued modeling and was represented by agencies such as IMG Models and Wilhelmina Models. She modeled for various mainstream magazines, appeared in campaigns for Urban Outfitters, Macy's and Steve Madden, and was the face of Garnier. After appearing in several commercials and student films, Harrier decided to pursue acting and studied at the William Esper Studio.
