This is a list of current and former Roman Catholic churches in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Santa Fe. The archdiocese includes 93 parishes and 226 missions and covers 19 counties in central and northeastern New Mexico, including the cities of Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The archdiocese is divided for administrative purposes into eight deaneries. [1] [2] [3]

The cathedral church of the diocese is the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi in Santa Fe.

The church was rebuilt twice, once in the mid to late 17th century, and again in 1710 following the Pueblo Revolt. In both cases earlier pieces of the building may have been reused, though it is unclear to what extent. The wooden reredos, which includes a wooden statue of Saint Michael dating back to at least 1709, was added in 1798.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">San Miguel de Socorro</span> Historic church in New Mexico, United States

San Miguel de Socorro is the Catholic church in Socorro, New Mexico, built on the ruins of the old Nuestra Señora de Socorro mission. The old mission was built around 1627, but was destroyed in 1680 during the Pueblo Revolt. A portion of the adobe wall of the old church remains today and still can be seen behind glass just left of the altar. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

The mother church of the Diocese is the Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception located in Malolos City, Bulacan. The Blessed Virgin Mary, under the title of Immaculate Conception is the principal patroness of the diocese.

The Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe is a historic Catholic shrine in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is the oldest church in the United States dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe and is listed on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties. It is also a contributing property in the Santa Fe Historic District.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Cristo Rey Church</span> Church in New Mexico, United States

Cristo Rey Church is a Roman Catholic parish church on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is one of the most notable buildings designed by influential Santa Fe architect John Gaw Meem and is claimed by some sources to be the largest adobe building in the United States. It is also notable for its historic altar screen, the Reredos of Our Lady of Light, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The reredos was carved in 1761 and originally hung in La Castrense, a military chapel on the Santa Fe Plaza. It has been described as "one of the most extraordinary pieces of ecclesiastical art in the country". The church was dedicated in 1940.

The Church of San Juan Bautista is a Roman Catholic church and parish located in Ohkay Owingeh, New Mexico. The parish is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Santa Fe. It consists of the parish church of San Juan Bautista, a freestanding chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes, and ten associated missions. The parish traces its origins to 1598, making it the oldest extant Native American congregation in the United States of America, as well as one of the oldest church congregations in the United States in general. The current church, the parish's fifth or sixth, was built in 1913 and is listed as a contributing property on the National Register of Historic Places.
