The following list sorts all cities and municipalities in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt with a population of more than 10,000. As of December 31, 2021, 53 cities fulfill this criterion and are listed here.^[1] This list refers only to the population of individual municipalities within their defined limits, which does not include other municipalities or suburban areas within urban agglomerations.

Börde is a district in Saxony-Anhalt in Germany. Its seat is the town Haldensleben. It takes its name from the natural region Magdeburg Börde. It is the site of the Morsleben radioactive waste repository. The disposal of waste into the facility ended in 1998.

Saalekreis is a district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The district seat is Merseburg. Its area is 1,434.2 km² (553.7 sq mi). It is bounded by the districts Kyffhäuserkreis (Thuringia), Mansfeld-Südharz, Salzlandkreis, Anhalt-Bitterfeld, Nordsachsen, Leipzig and Burgenlandkreis. The district-free city of Halle is surrounded by the Saalekreis.

Harz is a district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Its area is 2,104.9 km² (812.7 sq mi).

Dessau-Roßlau is a kreisfreie Stadt in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. It is situated at the confluence of the rivers Elbe and Mulde. The town was formed by merger of the towns of Dessau and Roßlau in the course of the "Kreisreform Sachsen-Anhalt" (Sachsen-Anhalt Regional Boundary Reforms) on 1 July 2007. The reform involved a reduction in the number of rural districts in Sachsen-Anhalt from 21 to 11 and reflected an expected continuation of the significant population decline being experienced.

Bitterfeld-Wolfen is a town in the district Anhalt-Bitterfeld, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated in south-eastern Saxony-Anhalt, west of the river Mulde, in an area that is dominated by heavy industry and lignite mining. The town was formed by merger of the towns Bitterfeld and Wolfen and the municipalities Greppin, Holzweißig and Thalheim on 1 July 2007.

Amtsberg is a municipality in the district Erzgebirgskreis, in Saxony, Germany.

Erxleben is a municipality in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. On 31 December 2009 it absorbed the former municipality Bregenstedt, followed by the former municipalities Bartensleben, Hakenstedt and Uhrsleben on 1 January 2010. The municipality consists of the Ortsteile Bregenstedt, Erxleben, Groß Bartensleben, Groppendorf, Hakenstedt, Klein Bartensleben and Uhrsleben.

Mertendorf is a municipality in the Burgenlandkreis district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. On 1 January 2010 it absorbed the former municipalities Görschen and Löbitz.

Kretzschau is a municipality in the Burgenlandkreis district, in southern Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is part of the Verbandsgemeinde Droyßiger-Zeitzer Forst. As of December 2020, its population is 2,409. On 1 January 2010 it absorbed the former municipalities Döschwitz and Grana.

Teutschenthal is a municipality in the Saalekreis district, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. In January 2005 it absorbed the former municipalities Holleben and Zscherben, in January 2010 Dornstedt, Langenbogen and Steuden and in September 2010 Angersdorf.

Brücken-Hackpfüffel is a municipality in the Mansfeld-Südharz district, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was formed on 1 January 2009 by the merger of the former municipalities Brücken and Hackpfüffel.
